SWOC Strength
Every student gets admission irrespective of his caste, creed and percentage; as the fonder of the institution Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar believed that everybody should have right to education.
Since the inception of the college i.e. 1950 co-education is being introduced. Day by day the ratio of Girl students is increasing. Both Boys & Girls hostel are with minimum charges so the students can afford to stay in
the city and take education. The values and teachings of Lord Gautam Buddha & Dr. B.R. Ambedkar are taught and
practiced by the college. The Departments of Geography, Psychology, English , Pali and Political Science are the
oldest departments of the Region. The students of our college are made to visit historical places and places of geographical
differences, for enhancing their outlook into the perspective of history and studying the climatic changes in the region.
This college has a culture to train students as a result we have writers, poets, short story writers of Marathi Literature and English Literature. Infact Milind is the birth place of Dalit literature & Dalit theatre.
Weakness The College has to restore temporary faculties of the Teaching & Non Teaching staff due
to the policies of State Government. The Parents of the stake holders are mostly uneducated poor & from rural background
hence it makes difficult for us to make them understand. Opportunity
We have an opportunity to make overall development of the students at various level namely Social, Economic, Political, Educational, Cultural, Emotional which will help them to get success in all walks of life.
To make the college a center of excellence for higher learning Challenges
It is a challenge to work for the upliftment of the downtrodden through education. Try to give facilities to the students they need time & again for example extra lectures
guiding them for various exams, giving them academic atmosphere for growth and at times help them economically.
