Milko Bizjak organist, clavichord player, composer, musicologist and publicist obtained his degree at the Music Academy in Zagreb, in 1984, with honours, with a thesis called “The baroque pipe organs and the pipe organ art in Slovenia”. He also studied at the Music Academy in Prague and at Hochschule in Graz. From 1979 he held solo pipe organ concerts and clavichord concerts in Europe (Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Germany, England, Hungary, Croatia) recording over 40 CDs and LPs and audio cassettes for the publishing houses RTB Belgrad, Yugoton Zagreb, ZKP from Ljubljana, Helidon and for the publishing house Edition Bizjak, founded by him. He edited the monography “Pipe organs in Slovenia” (1985), over a hundred publications and music scores, he ensured the publication of the monumental monography “The music” dedicated to Slovenia, comprising 25 CDs of musical heritage from Slovenia. He recorded several shows for the Slovenian Radio and National Television. He is founder of the baroque music choir “Musica Antiqua Slovenia”. In 1992 he received the statute of free- lancer in the cultural sector. In 1997 he is also the artistic director of some music festivals in Slovenia. At the same time, he is a clavichord manufacturer and pipe organs restaurateur, he was a member of the National Commission of restoration and maintenance of historical pipe organs in Slovenia, and he is a pipe organ professor at the Jurij Slatkonja Conservatory in Novo Mesto.
