Improve drainage services in select urban and peri-urban areas of the city of Lusaka
To decrease the incidence of waterborne and water related diseases
Generate time savings for households and businesses
Reduce non-revenue water from 48% to 25%

KSQ Ponds constructed in 1970 for around 18,000 People. Presently serves close to 50,000.

The Utility - LWSC
• Formed in 1988, Started operations in 1990
• Inherited Infrastructure from 1954-1988
• Covers several towns Luangwa, Chongwe,
Rufunsa, Chilanga, Chirundu, Kafue and Lusaka.
• Lusaka carries the bulk of the infrastructure and
customers
• The Assignment will focus on Infrastructure serving
Lusaka City
