Elementary ProgramOverview

(K-2)

• Millersburg Area Virtual Academy provides an online elementary program that helps our youngest students acquire the core academic standard skills of reading, writing and mathematics.

• Students in K-2 partner with Millersburg Area teachers, using Seesaw as their online instructional platform, to learn the same core curriculum as their grade-level peers enrolled in the brick and mortar school in the District.

• Students in K–2 require extra support from caring adults at home while learning in an online classroom. Parents/guardians of K-2 students in MAVA are responsible to provide the structure a student needs by establishing and managing the daily routine.

• Asynchronous/Independent Learning: Students are required to complete asynchronous assignments during the school day and submit these assignments through their respective Learning Platform.
