Grunge genre-Pearl Jam

Grunge Rock-Grunge rock is a subgenre of alternative rock that emerged during the mid 1980’s in the state of Washington, particularly Seattle. It’s inspired by hardcore punk and heavy metal.

Grunge is generally characterized by heavily distorted electric guitars, contrasting song DYNAMICS, “growling”, vocals and apathetic or angst-filled lyrics. It became commercially successful in the 1990’s due to the releases of music by Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Stone Temple Pilots

The success of grunge groups boosted the popularity of

alternative rock and made this genre the most popular form of

hard rock music at the time. Although most grunge bands had

disbanded or faded from view by the late 1990’s, their influence

continues to affect modern rock music. Characterized by distorted

guitar sounds, fuzz and feedback effects, a raw sound, complex

instrumentation. Lyrics often address themes such as social

alienation, apathy, confinement, and a desire for freedom.

Gospel genre-Tamela Mann

Gospel music is a music genre in Christian music. It usually has dominant vocals with Christian lyrics. Gospel music can be traced to the early 17th century with roots in the black oral tradition.

The first published use of the term was in 1874. 1920’s radio greatly increased the audience for gospel music. After World War II gospel music moved into major auditoriums and the concerts became quite elaborate.

Dubstep genre-Skrillex

Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music. It emerged in the 1990’s. The music generally features syncopated drum and percussion patterns with bass lines that contain sub bass frequencies. Sub bass are basically very low bass sounds.

Earliest dubstepreleases date back to 1998. Dubsteprhythms are syncopated. Many dubstep tracks incorporate one or more bass drops. The percussion will pause and often the track is reduced to silence and them resume with more intensity, accompanied by a dominant subbass.
