Tanunda Bowling Club’s loss of power – Council has or is organising quotes for the repair or replacement of the power board. This is a too big of a job for the Parks Committee to handle. We believe it should be listed as an “Extraordinary Expense” & therefore not come out of the Tanunda Rec Park’s Budget.

MOTION: Geoff to compose & send a letter to Council re: the repair/replacement of the power board & the committee’s above feelings on this matter. The letter should also be send to the CEO, Works Manager & Mayor. Moved: Graham Semmler 2nd: Ian Graetz Carried

Keil Fund for Tree Removal & Replacement for Tanunda Rec Park – In the minutes dated 24.09.2007; the Keil Fund was listed to be $50,000.00. Some of the funds have already been used for the purpose it was donated for. In the Minutes dated 26.11.2007, it was reported that at the Council meeting dated 20.11.2007, the arborists Report was presented to Council.

Elizabeth Street Toilet Blocks need yellow stripes repainted on the step into the toilet – done.

Tennis/Netball Court re-development – The new courts will be finished in 2 weeks. Asphalt on the old courts will be done soon – everything is on track to be finished by Mid Dec 2014. There a couple more trees that had to be pulled out for the drains but they will be replaced with Pear Trees along the fence line.

5. Business Arising From The Correspondence:

Rebecca Tappert – Barossa Council – re: Terms of Reference & Volunteer Form – The Terms of Reference file was corrupt & couldn’t be opened.

ACTION: Geoff to chase up Rebecca & get another one sent out.

Rebecca Tappert – Fee reduction for Tanunda Town Band – Everyone was in agreement that a 25% reduction in the fees charge for the use of the Show Hall was acceptable.

MOTION: A permanent reduction of 25% to be set for regular users of the Show Hall and who require

use of the stage & need to hire the wings; until the new wings are built & able to be used. Moved: Stuart Swan 2nd: Kym Schulz Carried

6. Finance:

Financial Statement & Transactions as at 30th September 2014 have been received.

Moved: Richard Clark 2nd: Dennis Hart Carried

Looking over the transactions, it was noticed that $4,800.00 was spent from the Tanunda Recreation Park Budget on air-rating the oval in August 2014 without consultation with the Park’s Committee.

MOTION: A letter to be sent to Council to ask why the Tanunda Recreation Park Committee was not

advised about the $4,800.00 spent on air-rating the oval in August 2014. Moved: Graham Semmler 2nd: Stuart Swan

ACTION: Geoff to compose & send a letter to Council

7. Maintenance:

Power Board in Show Hall – There is a new power board installed but it not compatible with the fluros and they throw out the safety switch

8. General Business:

RSL – The big tree behind “The Hut” which was shade for the building has been removed for the new tennis court re-development & now “The Hut” is very hot inside even with the air conditioners working. The RSL are now looking to create another form of shade for “The Hut” i.e.: Shade cloth on the tennis fence line or on a framework on the side of the building. The tennis club have some old Slazenger named shade cloth which clip onto the fence which might help reduce the heat onto the building.

ACTION: Richard & Graham will work together to organise this until a more permanent solution can be

supplied.

Next Meeting is the last meeting for 2014, therefore our Xmas break-up. The Tanunda Bowls Club has kindly offered to supply drinks & nibbles for this meeting for a small charge catering for approx.12.

MOTION: We accept the Tanunda Lawn Bowls’ offer to supply drinks & nibbles for our next meeting.

Moved: Terry Malone 2nd: Stuart Swan Carried
