TRAINING COURSE IN LYON
4/4/2016 – 5/4/2016 (First two days -HIPE Training Course)
Aim of the course
Comprehension of ASD and characteristics- Interacting with a person with ASD
according to his needs and characteristics.
The first two day training course was based on HIPE project. The coordinator of the
project was Mr. Hervé BONNIN from the SESAME AUTISME LANGUEDOC
organisation, who was the trainer and the coordinator of HIPE course too.

Social Policies about Autism
Conversation about the different policies of each country in relation with the
structures about the adult people with autism (employment, support and care for
transition to independent life).
There are many institutions for helping people with ASD in France, such as
institutions for children in pre-school age, institution for children from nursery until
primary school age and 20 institutions for adults. Also, there are many public
institutions and family associations. Social insurances pays a part of an amount to
these institutions.
In France there is a law that obliges agencies to employ a 6% of disabled people but
generally they avoid doing this because there are troubles in the employment. Instead
they prefer to pay the legal taxes.
Mobility Units
Mobile Units were created in 2009 in France. There are 3 Mobile Units in Grenoble, 1
in Lyon, 2 in Clermont-Ferrand, 2 in Marseille, 1 in Bordeau, 1 in Paris and 1 in
Strasbourg. The administrative control for these Units comes from a) the sanitary
sector (hospitals) which are public funded Medico-social (53,8%) and b) from the
medico-social sector which private associations fund (46,2%). The assessment of the
mobilities is carried out by ESSMS every 2 years. The mobility teams support
children, teenagers and adults (more).
The Profile of the Mobility
The Mobility Unit is a team of professionals who work together so as to find and
support the carers who works with autistic people. The notification comes from
MDPH. The duration of notification is between 2 and 5 years 66.7% (2). The number
of users (176). The mobility team is composed by the rest professionals:

Neuropsychologists
Psychomoticians
Secretary Pharmacoeconomics
APAJH Isere
A mobility unit that manages medico social institutions from 2014.
The service ELAD develops an expertise in the accompaniment of adults with autism
at home. ELAD is a cooperation agency that develop expertise in the accompaniment
of adults with autism at home and as they wait for a special institution. Its aim is to
develop a sustainable project of life in several fields for the people who need support.
Mission: help adults with autism develop a sustainable project of life
o Supporting careers
o Supporting professionals who work with people autistic
o Identify persons eligible for the accompaniment of the mobile team
The team is composed of:
o Social professionals (educators assistants)
o Nurse
o Psychologist
o Neuropsychologist
o Psychomotician
Professionals conduct a full assessment of the situation:
o Social and environmental
o Somatic
o Psychological
o Sensory
And the team works with the family and partners territory to develop a sustainable
project of life for the adult with autism.
Psychomotricity
This theory begun in Paris in 1974. It is a Physical and cognitive therapy. According
to the particular therapy the following can take place. Observation of movements
from lying down to standing up. Coordination/dissociation (in games) the left and the
right, top and bottom (ages of 8 years old children). Physical Condition (if the person
can relax by its own) Face Mobility (when the professional checks the movements of
the face) Manual Mobility (Χειρισμός- Αδρή Κινητικότητα) Graphism (The ability of
pre-writing and the monitoring of the condition-state. The laterality. The Knowledge
of the human body.
Imitation Skills Body image Time orientation Rhythm Spatial orientation (to have the
vocabulary about, draw a plan or a map, a direction).

It depends on prescription (it means the doctor gave the order to do an
psychomotor assessment)

programs, which will take a three – dimensional form
(objects) or two – dimensional form (photography,

It measures the personal and social skills of individuals from
birth to adulthood. This scale assess what a person actually can
actually manage.

The WAIS is an IQ test designed to measure cognitive abilities
for adults and other adolescents.
