    CALL TO ORDER AT: 9:00

    On a motion by Councilman Manolio, seconded by Councilwoman Drimones, Resolution 2008-49

    was offered for adoption.

    RESOLUTION 08-49

    TITLE: ESTIMATE #3 and final 2005 ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

    WHEREAS, Boswell McClave Engineering has recommended that Estimate

    Certificate #3 in the amount of $119,848.38 be paid; and

    Whereas, the amount of 10,661.25 for additional engineering fees charged to the Boroughas a result of delayed completion of the program shall be deducted from this payment andis in dispute with AJM Contractors, Inc.

    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the

    Borough of Englewood Cliffs, does hereby approve the payment of $109,187.13 to

    AJM Contracting, Inc. for work completed on the 2005 Road Improvement Project.

    BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this is the final payment and that the checkshall be released upon confirmation of the receipt of the original signed and sealedMaintenance Bond being received by the Borough.

    The Mayor and Council Members present reviewed and discussed the budgets of the following

    municipal departments.

    Police Department represented by Deputy Chief Michael Cioffi and Lt. Timothy Regan

    Department of Public Works represented by Superintendent Sal Mele and Mark Neville

    Fire Department represented by Fire Chief George Drimones

    Recreation represented by Councilwoman Lynn Norton

    Planning Board represented by Helen DAmato

    Shade Tree Commission represented by Yvonne Favaro

    Environmental Commission represented by Louis Ycre

    Building Department represented by Paul Renaud

    A&E and Board of Health represented by Deborah Fehre

    On a motion by Councilwoman Drimones, seconded by Councilwoman Norton, Resolution 08-50was offered for adoption. Carried

    RESOLUTION 08-50

    RE: CLOSED SESSION

    WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 10:4-12 allows for a public body to go into closed session during a

    public meeting, and

    WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Englewood Cliffs has deemed it

    necessary to go into closed session to discuss certain matters which are exempted from the public,

    NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the Borough of

    Englewood Cliffs will go into closed session for the following reason as outlined in N.J.S.A. 10:4-

    12:

    Personnel and Salaries

    The closed session began at 1:00 and ended at 2:10

    On a motion by Councilman Perin, seconded by Councilwoman Drimones the meeting returned toopen session.

    On a motion by Councilman Perin, seconded by Councilwoman Drimones, the meeting adjourned at

    2:10 PM.
