Process in high speed disperser in the following sequence: I. Run for 15 – 30 mins at 20 m/s. A temperature of 50–60°C is necessary for dewatering. Hold back a small amount of solvents for final viscosity adjustment. II. Mix in the resin at low speed. III. Finally, mix in Additive OF (viscosity stabiliser) and leave to stand in sealed container for 24 hrs blankened with inert gas. It is then stirred, adjusted for viscosity and filled into an airtight container using a blanket or inert gas. MANUFACTURING PROCEDURE Use high speed disperser (dissolver)
1. Charge vessel with Pliotec LS1 2. Premix Disperyk 181 with Surfinol 104E and stir into Pliotec.
Add Nopco 8034 and rapid mix until homogenous. 3. At low speed add pigment/extender. Increase rate gradually and run until fully
dispersed.
Temperature must not exceed 50 °C 4. Mix in remaining Pliotec. 5. Premix coalescents and Kodaflex TX1B. Add to bulk while stirring. 6. Add water and Rheolate and run at high speed until completely dispersed.
