What is a ray?What is a ray?It is an arrow that we use to show

the path of a light wave.

The image appears to be the same distance from the mirror, just on the other side!

Cameras, telescopes and movie projectors all use lenses to create images.

thicker in the middle than at the edges.

Used to MAGNIFY things

Used in magnifying glasses, camera lenses and some eyeglasses.

Used to correct farsightedness

Concave LensConcave LensA lens that is

thinner in the middle than at the edges

Causes light waves to bend away from each other

Used in microscopes, eyeglasses and some telescopes

Used to correct nearsightedness
