The evening was a magi- cal one and with the sup- port of the people of Kash- mir and the Government, it became an unforgettable one too. Models sashayed down the ramp flaunting designs by Mohit Falod and creations of Shahid Rashid Bhat & Rozgar Kul. Srinagar Mayor Junaid Matoo and his wife Yusra Hussain, Commissioner Srinagar, Municipal Corpo- ration Atahar Amir, SP Se- curity Civil Secretariat Nighat Amaan, Dr Suneem Khan, Miss India Interna- tional Nusrat Praveen, Bol- lywood Singer Vibha Saraf and many more dignitaries attended the event. Jagdeesh Chandra wel- comed all the guests and gave a strong message that ‘All is well in Kashmir now’. He added, “It is clear from our fashion show that Kash- mir is now joining the mainstream of the country. India is now truly one from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, and therefore we have also shown a glimpse of Ra- jasthani culture in this fashion show.” He expressed hope that after this fashion show organised by First In- dia, now the shooting of films could also start again in the beautiful valleys of Kashmir. Officials said that the people of Kashmir will ben- efit more if such events are held regularly as such events will also boost tour- ism while local artists will also get an opportu- nity to show- case their tal- ent. ion Tour- an initiative of Jagdeesh Chandra, was or-ganised in Srinagar to cel-ebrate the culture and ethos of Valley!

The evening was a magi-cal one and with the sup-port of the people of Kash-mir and the Government, it became an unforgettable one too. Models sashayed down the ramp flaunting designs by Mohit Falod and creations of Shahid Rashid Bhat & Rozgar Kul.

T he sudden demise of highly respected senior journalist and litterateur Ish

Madhu Talwar has sent waves of grief across the spectrum in the world of media, politics and litera-ture. Tributes poured in from all quarters.

Former CEC Sunil Aro-ra remembered Ish Mad-hu Talwar with whom he had more than two dec-ades of relationship, as a very mature, non-parti-san, sober and unbiased journalist. Arora said that Talwar Sahab brought prestige to the of-fice of the president of

the Pink city press club during his tenures. Sunil Arora spoke at length to his son, Dr Anish Talwar, and ex-pressed deepest condo-lences on the great loss to the family.

Jagdeesh Chandra re-membered him fondly and said that he was among the senior-most journal-ists of Rajasthan, an in-stitution in himself, he was a ‘school of journal-ism’ with his vast knowl-edge and he was deeply

grieved by this sad news. Jagdeesh Chandra condoled the family on their loss. Ish Madhu Talwar is survived by his wife Asha Talwar, Son and daughter-in-law Anish & Rishita and Anishma and Abhay Bhalla, daughter and son-in-law.

Dr Anish Talwar, his son who is a dentist shared with First India that he and the family are still in shock. For him, his ‘papa’ was the rock of

his life. Anish said that on this day the words resonate in him, “Papa, I am what I am only be-cause of you, you are the most honest person I have ever known, you are my idol. I will always

follow the path shown by you, will miss the friendship we had, will continue praying

for your happiness wherever you are.”

The ‘baithak’ will be held today, from 4 pm to 5 pm, as per corona protocol at Housing Board Community Cen-tre in Sector 8 Mansarovar.

he grand finale of the national-level beauty pageant of Miss and Mrs category “Miss and Mrs Top Model India Season 2”, or-ganised by Aalmeen

Studio, was held on Friday at Hotel Glitz located on Amer Road, Jaipur in which Sonali Yadav was crowned as Miss Top Model India 2021 and Saange Chaum Thongan bagged the title of Mrs Top Model India. 30 participants who were selected for the finale showcased their talent by walk-ing the ramp in a fashion sequence completed in to-tal three rounds on the theme of traditional, indo-western, and sparkle de-signer outfits. Organiser Ash-faq Shah shared participants from five different states of the country have participated in this pageant.

Radhika Kumari, Khushi Arora, and Priyambada bagged the title of first, second, and third runner up in the Miss cat-egory. In the Mrs category, Kalpana Sharma was the first runner up and Shama Dubey secured the position of the sec-ond runner up.

In the plus-size competition

of Mrs Category, Siya Sharma was the winner while Suparna Maitri and Kirti Chhetri were the first and second runner up respectively. The dress collec-tion by designers Rajni Kaur

Khan and Shalini Sharma and jewellery collection by Mamta Rathore was showcased in this grand finale while the beauti-ful makeover of models was done by Jaya Solanki and Jyoti

Manral. Dr Shalini Rajen-dra Sharma, Ragini Chau-rasia, Dr Parin Somani, Rakesh Sabharwal, and Ruby Khan were present in the jury panel of the pageant while Bimal Agarwal and former Mayor Jyoti Khan-delwal were the spe-cial guests. WHAT’S HAPPENING!The year 2021 marks the 50th anniversary of the victory of the Indian Armed Forces in the 1971 Indo-Pak war and the year is being observed as ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’. To honour the occasion an arms and ammunition exhibition was held at Pratap Stadium, Chitrakoot Jaipur on Saturday 18th. Aarav Chhabra and Avika Chhabra of MSMSV(maharaja Sawai Mansingh Vidyalaya) were thrilled to see them.

With the courtesy of Gautam Hospital and Research Centre, 13-year-old student Saanvi, 10-year-old Manvi, 8-year-old Jayaditya, and Dr Anita Gautam have set a record by making 400 square feet mosaic by paper quilling. Maan, Secretary Legal Services Committee, Rajasthan High Court; Manoj Soni and RAS Ashish Sharma, Special Assistant, Minister of Cooperation, Government of Rajasthan were the chief guests.

A vaccination camp was organised in Bapu Nagar, Jaipur under the aegis of Ward 138 councillor Mamta Yadav and Meena Maa Charitable Trust from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, in which more than 600 people were vaccinated. Mamta Yadav, Karan Sharma, Pintu Yadav, Gaurav Yadav, Ganpat Bairwa, Chintamani Sharma, Ghanshyam Bairwa, Lalit, Mohan Yadav and RK Soni were present during the camp.

Rajsamand MLA Deepti Kiran Maheshwari, through a calling attention motion under Rule 131, drew the attention of the State Government regarding the ongoing strike, royalty and other problems in the marble industry, which is facing recession. Due to this, the employment of thousands of workers has stopped. MLA Deepti also visited Lord Ganesha at the famous Moti Dungri Ganesh temple in Jaipur on Saturday.
