The purpose of action films is to get the audiences hearts pumping and feel the excitement and thrills of the film, its also motivate the audience and make them imagine themselves being in da film. Action films are known for their special effects, with many explosions, car chases and fights giving us an illusion we want to see again and again

MAIN AUDIENCEThe main audience for this genre is mostly males because Action movies attract generally male audience, as it is stereotypical for men to be drawn to violent films.

CONVERNTIONS An action film is based around either one person or a group facing challenges.

Normally involving Fights between the hero and the villain like in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ chase scenes, life threatening situations like in the film ‘Taken’ guns, explosions like in ‘Fast and Furious’ an evil villain

In Action films we are allowed to see the story through fights, explosions, car chases and fit, good looking

ACTION GENRE Mission impossible trailer has Full action scenes that involves high explosive scenes and buildings and cars being damaged

M.I trailer also has Life threatening scenes , showing how dangerous his job is.

M.I has trailer has gun scenes showing how hero will fight the villain
