Mental Health Is For

Everyone.

Page 3: Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote mental health.

• We believe that Mental Health Is For Everyone.

• Mental health is not just for the severely ill -- the people who cannot function in society. We all need help, mentally, as well as spiritually and physically.

Page 4: Mission Statement

Mental Health Is For Everyone.

• After all, we are supposed to see the dentist twice a year and to get an annual physical exam.

• What about your mental health?

Page 5: Mission Statement

Mental Health is not an “either-or thing” in which you are

“crazy” or you are not.

Page 6: Mission Statement

Mental health is not like being pregnant in which you either are or you are not.

Unlike mental health, there is no “in between” when you are pregnant.

Page 7: Mission Statement

Mental Health is a Continuum

• Global Assessment of Functioning (GAF) - Subjective rating scale used by mental health professionals

• GAF - Evaluates social, occupational, and psychological functioning of adults and children.

• A Continuum from 100 to 1– From practically no problems …– to normal problems …– to serious problems that require

institutionalization.

Page 8: Mission Statement

… furthermore ….

Just like untreated cancer, tooth

decay or any physical problem,

mental health may get worse

when left untreated.

Page 9: Mission Statement

We all need an occasional “tune up”.

• All of us need to maintain and improve our mental health.

• Many of us are not.

Page 10: Mission Statement

We all are a little crazy.

Goals for

Our Mission

Page 12: Mission Statement

Our Mission

… to reach out to the public through advertising and marketing that

promotes

“Mental Health is for Everyone”

Mission Statement:

To accept that advertising outreach is not only necessary, but is a moral

obligation of mental professionals to reach to people who they could help.

Page 14: Mission Statement

Our mission is to use advertising to change incorrect attitudes

such as:• Receiving psychological help indicates weakness

and should be rejected as taboo• Only the wealthy can afford these services • Mental illness is strange and mysterious, thus

beyond the common man’s understanding• Psychotherapy takes time and can drag on for years • Mental health treatment only makes one feel better

superficially but does not truly resolve the problem and make it go away

Imagine how many problems will be

prevented if we increase awareness
