TRANSCRIPT
From the desk of the Director:
Whew! We all survived and thrived during our
construction closure, now we welcome folks back
to a fresh and fun senior center. We leave behind
ways of doing business that are archaic and
duplicated. Provide recognition of honor by
providing consumers with privacy and a
confidential space. The new interior design that
draws one in, to be surrounded by beauty,
embraced with the warm and kind Seward culture.
I would like to thank all our staff; Robert, Marie
and Christine for working tirelessly between two
facilities; navigating relocated office space, in
search of documents; and working outside of
routine, which was overwhelming on some days.
Our hats are tipped to all the volunteers who came
forward to assist in the move, paint, repurpose,
hang artwork, provide treats at lunch and move
again. Thank you all for your commitment to the
positive growth of our community! You add
strength to our integrity, so we might serve the
greater good of the senior community.
Please join us to celebrate our successes, on
Wednesday, March 4th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, for
a community open house.

Healthy Shamrock Shake
Ingredients
• 1 overripe large frozen banana
• chocolate chips, as desired
• ¼ tsp peppermint extract
• 1 cup milk of choice
• ¼ cup frozen spinach
• 1/8 tsp salt to bring out flavor
Instructions
Feel free to use your favorite milk of choice. Canned
coconut milk will give it a rich milkshake-like taste,
but I also really love the lighter results of using
cashew milk or almond milk. To make the shake:
blend all ingredients in a blender until completely
smooth. Make sure the banana you use is at least
somewhat brown, so you don’t get that unripe
earthy banana flavor in your mint chocolate shake!
You can add the chocolate chips either before or
after blending.
