And they sang a new song, saying:“You are worthy to take the scroll,And to open its seals; For You were slain,And have redeemed us to God by Your bloodOut of every tribe and tongue and people and nation”

EASTWOOD MISSIONS

H E R E A M I . . . S E N D M E .

From the beginning, Eastwood has been a “mission-minded” church. Missions, both local and international, is woven deep in the fabric of our DNA. As a Southern Baptist Church we have lasting commitment

to raise up, disciple, and send people to the mission field. Our giving to the cooperative program, plus extra giving to BGCO, NAMB, and IMB all make a difference in the broad realm of missions.

Yet, the Lord has also led us as a church to do much more than. Many of our members have gone on mission trips to do a short-term work and even long-term work. We have sent them. One of most recent missionaries we have sent is Julia Small to North Africa.

When we look back over our records, since 2008 we have given over $1,050,000.00 just to missions. Praise God! Even though all of us cannot go to a specific mission field like Mexico, or China or into Africa, we can send those who can go. And that is exactly what we continue to do.

This month, as we highlight Missions here in Tulsa and around the world, know that you are a part of something so much greater than what we see just right here on 11th Street. Praise God that from this place we can help to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth!

“For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” – Romans 10:12-15

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” – Isaiah 6:8

Become a Follower of Jesus Christ

1. God loves you and has a purpose for your life (John 3:16; John 10:10)2. You are a sinner separated from God and cannot save yourself (Rom. 3:23; 6:23; Eph. 2:8-9)3. God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to pay for your sin and then raised

Him from the dead (Rom. 5:8; 1 Cor. 15:1-6; John 14:6)4. You must repent of your sin and receive Jesus Christ into your heart to have eternal

life (John 1:12; Rom. 10:9-10; Gal. 4:6)

Prayer of Salvation

God, I have sinned against You.  Jesus, thank You for dying on the cross for me. I believe You rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and ask You to forgive me and come into my heart and life. I receive You by faith and ask You to give me Your Life. I trust You to live through me from this day forward.

God is always inviting us to respond to Him. What is God saying to you today? If you have a question that we can help with or need to pray with someone, please call the church office or email us at [email protected]
