Agnethe Maagaard
Gennem årelang designarbejde med glasmateria-let, har jeg udviklet min helt unikke teknik, hvor jeg fortæller historier med glasset og bruger formen til at underbygge mine historier og temaer. En af mine vigtigste sparringspartnere er lyset. Her inspirerer og udfordrer kontraster og transparente ef-fekter mig i det skulpturelle formunivers.
Min inspiration
I was born and raised live near the sea in the middle of
the magnificent natur of the western part of Denmark.
My Roots
Through years of design work with the glass material, I have developed my own unique technique where I storytell with the glass using the form to support my stories and themes. One of my main sparring partners is the light. Here I’m inspired and challenged by the contrast and the transpar-ent effects and by the sculptural form universe.

- besøger mit galleri
I forbindelse med jubilæet for Lemvig by den 6. september 2009, besøgte Dronning Margrethe II af Danmark Maagaards galleri i Bøv-lingbjerg.
Til denne lejlighed havde Agnethe Maagaard designet den officielle gave fra Lemvig kommune til den kongelige familie: Kunstfadet ”Bakkers og bølgers land.”
In connection with the anniversary of Lemvig, September 6th 2009, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark visited Maagaard Gallery in Bøv-lingbjerg.
For this occasion Agnethe Maa-gaard designed the official gift from the Municipality of Lemvig to the royal family: The art dish: “The land of Hills and Waves.”

”Kokkelandsholdet har valgt at benytte Agnethes skønne glaskunst til at kreere et stort serverings-fad, som skal bruges til en kold fiskeret til 8 per-soner.
Agnethe er utrolig kreativ og fantastisk dygtig til at udforme flotte udtryk i glaskunst, og vi kan være med i den indledende proces omkring valg af glas, former og farver og derefter lade kunsten flyde.

“The National Culinary Team has chosen to use Ag-nethe’s beautiful glass art to create a large serving plate to be used for a cold fish for eight people.
Agnethe is incredibly creative and extremely good at designing a beautiful expression in the glass, and we can be part of the initial process sur-rounding the selection of glass types and colours and then let the art flow.

”Dear Agnethe, The choice was not difficult, since we had to find a very unique and special gift for our son, who had just become a law professor. It, of course, had to be you that we asked to help us. You have fully made the artwork, we had hoped for.
With your help with the actual glass art and the selection of colours which fitted the best, we agreed on Life Voyage. The sails were orange and green. Section marks were made in the green sails.
Our son was overjoyed and happy about the beautiful gift. A unique piece - only for him, and he immediately saw how many thoughts and how much time had been put into the gift.
It should also be mentioned that the colours fit perfectly in our son’s home. So thank you very
much for the work of art, Agnethe.”

Med din hjælp med selve glaskunsten og hvilke farver, der passer bedst sammen, blev vi enige om Livets Sejlads. Sejlene var henholdsvis oran-ge og grønne. I det grønne sejl var der lavet lov-paragraffer i et bånd.
Vores søn blev ovenud glad og lykkelig for den smukke gave. Lige præcis kun til ham, og han så også med det samme, hvor mange tanker og tid, der er lagt i gaven.
Det skal også lige nævnes, at farverne passer per-fekt i vores søns hjem. Så tusinde tak for kunst-værket, Agnethe”.
