Obituaries The death occurred of Marion Iso- bel Campbell, 86, on Feb. 27, 2009 at Huntsville Dis- trict Memorial Hospital. The de- ceased was born in Huntsville on Dec. 14, 1922, the daughter of William J. and Lillian H. Conlin. Predeceased by her first husband, Grenvel Thompson. She married Lavern H. Campbell on Oct. 16, 1971 at Hillside. Her husband resides at Rogers Cove. Dear mother of Diane (Brian) O’Connor, David (Heather) Thompson, Debbie Stead; stepmother of Betty Soutar, Beverley (Gerald) Hewitt and Linda Rimmington. Loving grandmother of Daniel (Rose), Mandy (Mark), Krista (Jay), Janis (Brandon), Michael, Jordan, Graydon, Kim, Tracy (Paul), Leslie, Jackie, Kevin (Janine), Karie (Marc), Jeff, Tammy and Christopher. Great-grandmother of Nathan, Julia, Holly, Carter, Natashia, Brooke, Joey, Michael, Holden, Juliet, Thomas, Joshua, Riley and Gage. Sister of Lillian Forde. Predeceased by brothers Joe, Jacky and Hugh Conlin and sister Rita Green. Mrs. Campbell worked for the A&P and retired from Eaton’s. She was a life member of the WI and member of the UCW, holding many executive positions. She was chair on the Worship and Outreach committee at Pioneer Memorial Church and a member of the choir. She volunteered at Fairvern Nursing Home for 20 years. Funeral service was held at Billingsley Funeral Home with Reverend Jolyn Campbell presiding. A eulogy was given by Charles Truay. Interment at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery. Memorial gifts to Pioneer Memorial Church or to the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family. The death occurred of Fred Duncan, 78, on Feb. 26, 2009 in Huntsville, Ontario. The deceased was born on June 6, 1930, the son of Claude and Anna Duncan. Dear brother of Marion Duncan. Brother-in-law of Rod McQuoid. Beloved uncle of Anna and her husband John Low and Fred McQuoid. Predeceased by his parents and his sister, Lois McQuoid. Mr. Duncan was an avid snowmobiler and fisherman, weekly card player, and involved with the Yearley food drive for the Du-Ya-Wanna Snowmobile Club. He was a supporter of the local hospital. A funeral service was held at Billingsley Funeral Home, with spring interment at Hermeston Cemetery, Warkworth, Ontario. Memorial gifts to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Eleanor Catherine Melson (nee Daultrey), 69, March 4, 2009. Cathy was born on Dec. 21, 1939 in Toronto Ontario, the daughter of Dorothy Muriel Daultrey (nee Beggs) and Leslie Albert Daultrey and moved to Muskoka in 1945. She married Ronald Melson, who survives her, in Port Sydney where they made their home. Mrs. Melson is survived by children, Ronna Law and husband Bruce of Huntsville, Laurie Melson of Barrie, Gary Melson of Angus and David Melson and wife Rhonda of Stayner. She was sister to Ted Daultrey and wife Mabel, Robert Daultrey and wife Joyce, Fred Daultrey and wife Sharon and Bill Daultrey. Mrs. Melson is predeceased by brothers Ronnie and Joseph Daultrey and sister Alberta Eck. Cathy was grandmother to Richard and Erica de Vries, Joseph, Jared, Shaun, Jessica, Jason and Steven Melson and Lisa Ensor (nee Melson). Little ones were a great joy; among them great- grandchildren Hailey, Christien, Emily, Chase and Chelsey. Nieces and nephews of several generations will sorely miss their “Aunt Cathy.” Cathy found incredible joy in loving and caring for her family. Her heart extended to friends and neighbours. Treats she handed out in the morning to youngsters as they boarded the bus for school to the nursing of a sick friend, gave evidence that there were no bounds to her generosity. She took delight in nature, tending her animals, birds and gardens with loving care. A celebration of Cathy’s life was held at Mitchell Funeral Home on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 1 p.m. with Reverend Karen Menagh officiating. In life Cathy faced many trials and tribulations, facing them with purpose, conquering them with grace. Marty passed away at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on March 4, 2009 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Arthur for 62 years. Loving mother of Arthur Sedgwick, (Jane) of Halifax N.S.; Lynne Lush (Ray) of Cannington ON; Mary Sedgwick of Dunnville ON and Sue Sedgwick (Bill) of Huntsville ON. She was the cherished grandmother of eight and proud great-grandmother of 12. She was predeceased by her four older brothers, Jack, Bill (Margot), Jim and Bob, (Danny) all of Kingston, Ontario. She is also survived by brother- in-law John Sedgwick (Nancy) of Thornhill, Ontario, sister-in-law Peggy Harding of Kingston and many nieces and nephews. Marty was born to John Strickland Harding and Evelyn Leggatt Harding on June 29, 1921 in Delhi, Ontario. She attended North Toronto Collegiate and worked at Bell Telephone before marrying her high school sweetheart Arthur when he returned after his Merchant Marine ship struck a mine near Iceland as part of the North Atlantic Convoy in 1942. They lived in North Toronto in the Sedgwick family home built by Arthur’s father. While raising four children Marty returned to school and earned her diploma as a library technician. She worked at the Seneca College library until she and Arthur retired to Vernon Shores in Huntsville in 1981. Marty was an active volunteer with Muskoka Heritage Place, Meals on Wheels and was very involved in the parish life of All Saints’ Anglican Church. She enjoyed travelling with Arthur and was especially fond of her time spent with her family in Muskoka. She was an avid bridge player and made many friendships in different bridge clubs over the years. Always a voracious reader, Marty was happy to lend a book and eager to discuss it with you afterwards. Recently she enjoyed the seniors’ support luncheons and Sunshine Club with friends. This network of good friends was so kind and supportive during her struggle with lung cancer. Her zest for life and love of family and friends will be the basis of many good memories of Marty. A memorial service will be held at All Saints’ Anglican Church on Saturday, May 9 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntsville Public Library. The death occurred of Marion Iso-bel Campbell, 86, on Feb. 27, 2009 at Huntsville Dis-trict Memorial Hospital.

T h e d e -ceased was born in Huntsville on Dec. 14, 1922, the daughter of William J. and Lillian H. Conlin.

Predeceased by her first husband, Grenvel Thompson. She married Lavern H. Campbell on Oct. 16, 1971 at Hillside. Her husband resides at Rogers Cove.
