Work experience 

Mainfreight Logistics Highbrook: January 2016 – September 2016Role: Graduate StoremanIn this role I worked in a warehouse, learning the logistics trade as a graduate. I worked in a fast paced, high pressure, dangerous but rewarding team environment. Within this job role, I was required to carry out involved data entry, team leadership, customer service and communicating with others in the workplace. This helped develop skills such as communication, time management and allowed me to work on my interpersonal skills.

Rigter dairy farms: November 2014- February 2015Role: Farm assistantIn this role I worked on for a dairy farming family, assisting with the day to day running of dairy farming activities. Whilst on the farm, my roles ranged from milking cows, to driving tractors and trailers and assisting the farms owners with general farm operational work. These job functions allowed me to improve on working independently, experience abnormal working hours and become accustomed to manual labour.

Fonterra: December 2012- February 2013, November 2013 – February 2014Role: Process assistantAcross the two summers I worked for Fonterra, my main role was assisting in the process of milk powder production. This required me to help pour ingredients, work in a demanding team environment with small margins for errors. Being my first ever job, this role allowed me to learn the importance of responsibility, organization and the benefits of communication within a team.

- Attended DairyNZ personal development workshops to focus on how to be successful in the workplace and improve my interpersonal skills.

Interests and hobbies

My personal time revolves around playing sports such as hockey, squash, and golf whilst I follow sports such as cricket and basketball closely. As of this year I started running again, competing in both marathon and half marathon events. Through September to November I travelled throughout Europe this year whilst my family has hosted a number of AFS exchange students from many parts of the world. Alongside these pursuits, I also enjoy reading, hunting and skiing.
