Note from the Program Coordinator

Hello! I am Scott Miller, SAGE Program Coordinator since June. I live in the Milwaukee area with my two dogs. I’m a military veteran in a Master’s Program at UWM. I love working with people by connecting them with like-minded individuals in the community and helping our mission to support our lives and become strong advocates on LGBT issues. SAGE at Milwaukee LGBT Community Center is growing its focus by providing a safe place for people to be in an active environment. In partnership with the Milw County Dept on Aging, we assist people to get services and support, whether it’s for meals, counseling, or other activities.

ALSO - If you are looking to meet other friends and build family and community, we are here to help you with an outstretched hand.

It is our mission to provide programs and services for individuals to enjoy their lives. Please see all the fun activities planned for December - join us!

DECEMBERFEST SUN, DECEMBER 14 11 AM – 3 PM

Put your ugliest holiday sweater on and invite your neighbors, friends, allies, and families for the afternoon of festivities. This DecemberFest will be a wonderful way to meet people and express your holiday cheer. Our staff, with the help of volunteers will be offering ornament making, face painting, cookie decorating, and fantastic music!

50+ Support Group

We invite you to join our growing community support group for LGBT adults ages 50 plus. In our closely-knit group, we discuss a variety of topics including:

• Healthy relationships • Active community engagement • Family connections • Work • Retirement

We talk honestly about experiences and challenges in a confidential, open, and accepting environment.

This weekly group meets Wednesdays from 6 to 8pm until January and the new night will be Tuesday.
