Outcomes• Review the essential questions that should guide

DITs during their monthly meetings

• Access Tier 1 PBIS installation and fidelity data from MIDATA

• Analyze the PBIS data to inform adjustments to your Implementation Plan, training supports, and coaching supports

• Use and refine your linking communication protocols to school leadership teams, coaches, and executive leaders

4

Essential Questions• Districts with a well-functioning implementation

infrastructure should be asking these questions every time they meet:

1. How many schools are implementing? (e.g., behavior and reading MTSS components)

2. How well are they implementing?

3. What is the impact on student outcomes?

4. What are barriers to implementation and how can these be addressed?

Essential Questions (cont.)• The foundation to being able to answer

the four questions is: • The DIT Installation Series because it has

focused on your district’s capacity to select, support, and sustain the use of effective innovations (District Capacity Assessment)

• Module 4 of the Installation Series because it focused on organizing your team for success

Activity 1.1Agree, disagree, and why: • “My LIT’s ability to ask and answer the essential questions

on a regular basis will strengthen our district’s ability to support the schools across the district in their successful use of School-wide PBIS”

If you disagree, following your reason why, define what you believe needs to happen to be able strengthen the district’s support of the SWPBIS components

Optional Activity• If you agreed with the statement on the previous

slide, discuss as team if there are things you feel your team can still strengthen to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of your meeting time and structure to include adequate time to answer the essential questions

PBIS Data AnalysisThree Types:

1. Reach (scalability) data: access the “Reach” tab in MIDATA on your district dashboard

2. Tier 1 PBIS fidelity data: access the “Behavior Fidelity” tab in MIDATA on your district dashboard

3. Tier 1 PBIS installation data: access the “Installation Checklist” tab in MIDATA on your district dashboard

Getting Ready • Everyone will need to access the following:

• SWPBIS Implementation Plan• MIDATA District Dashboard• “District Year 1 Data Analysis: Tier 1 PBIS”

document that is in your binder• A log of any implementation barriers

(challenges) that have been raised since schools started accessing their Tier 1 PBIS professional learning sessions

Getting Ready (cont.)

• MIBLSI staff and your district’s PBIS Coordinator will guide your team through each question and assist you locating the information in MIDATA

13

Activity 1.2• Structure your team for a successful data review by

identifying a recorder and making sure all team members have access to the proper materials for this activity

• Begin analyzing your district Tier 1 PBIS data to answer each of the four essential questions

• When you have finished, conduct a status update for the activities that have been written for each goal of your SWPBIS Implementation Plan

• Include new activities based on the data you analyzed

District Data Analysis Opportunities• Primary emphasis following the LIT

Installation Series

• Two “Data Review” sessions occur per year

• These sessions are intentionally scheduled to occur following the school-level data review sessions since the school-level data that gets entered into MIDATA allow the district dashboard to be populated

Module 9 Assignment • Access the Leadership Installation Checklist

to review the activities assigned for Module 9

• Make sure your progress is up to date on the previous module checklist items
