1 Title Engines and Tractors 2 Code C30120 3 Level 6 4 Value 1 5 Purpose This module has been developed so that the learner will acquire an
understanding of the working mechanisms of engines and tractors. The learner will acquire skills to carry out a range of maintenance
tasks, associated with engines and tractors, safely and efficiently. This is a mandatory module on the Advanced Certificate in Greenkeeping Level 6 Award.

This module aims to enable the learner to: 8.1 understand the working mechanism of an engine 8.2 understand the working mechanism of a tractor 8.3 carry out routine servicing on engines and tractors
8.4 develop logical processes of fault-finding
8.5 appreciate that certain maintenance procedures require the expertise of a mechanic
8.6 appreciate the hazards associated with engines and tractors 8.7 develop safe working practices when operating engines and tractors.
