Senior Drilling Fluids Engineer
Provide 24 hours drilling fluids engineering to Aramco drilling operations in Manifa, Shybah, Abu haudriah, Al nyym, Asyd, Madrik, Turif and Jalamid fields on 5 weeks on/off rosters.
Maintain rig site fluid properties and provide technical/logistics assistance to eliminate bottlenecks.
Carry out pilot tests and investigate chemical concentrations to optimize drilling fluids formulations using different vendor product lines (MI-Swaco, Baroid, Baker Hughes, Champion, Petrochem, Chevron, OES and numerous Chinese suppliers) and make adjustment to formulations as dictated by availability of chemicals supplied by the ware house and desired mud properties.
Supervise personnel and address rig site chemical handling and QHSE issues associates with chemicals.
Optimize solids control equipment to assist with properties and reduce waste and fluids cost.
Provide recommendations and trouble shoot drilling related issues (i.e. stuck pipe, hydraulics, loss circulation, etc...) whilst consulting with company man.
Manage rig site chemical inventory and logistics and coordinate ware house deliveries and back loads.
Prepare end of well reports and make recommendations based on rig site pilot tests and field observations.
