man has descended from the heaven on the earth,the firm belief and faith in Allah has always beenin his mind and heart. His belief and conviction inoneness of Allah and hatred of Polytheism hasbeen his real treasure. Unity of God is pinnacle ofhumanity and an honour for whole human race. Apparently he seemsecstatic achieving his goals. His followers arelikewise happy with him.

and no associates, thus if any man who construes jins, angles, messengers, saints or godly menequal to Him or partners in his attributions orpowers does a most abhorent offence. He does notlike association or partnership with them. Doingso is a despicable act. Allah commands thus:t

]ôá$]Ö×#äøŸømøÇûËô†ö]øáûm%�û†ôÕøeôäæømøÇûËô†öÚø^�öæûáøƒFÖôÔøÖôÛøàûm$�ø^ðöLo! Allah forgives not that a partner should

be ascribed un to him. He forgiveth (all) save towhom he will. Whose ascribeth partners to Allah

he hath indeed invented a tremendous sin. (Surah Nisa verse 48)

If a believer dies without repentance of hissins, if Allah wants, he will pardon him withoutpunishment. And some will get punishment, and many among them will be absolved from their sins by Allah on intercession of Mohammed(S.A.W) save the mushrik (polytheist). In no

account shirk will be tolerated or excused. Allahprohibits the polytheists enter the heaven.

Lo! Who so acribeth partners into Allah forhim Allah hath forbidden paradise. His adobe isthe fire, for evil does there will be no helpers.

(Sura Al maida verse 72)

The Quran clearly expatiates and establishesthat the polytheists account of their heinous actand pagan faith will remain in hell forever. Theywill never get relief or respite. This is Allah'sabsolute and ultimate descision. Despite this fact, the children of Adam commit shirk. The abovementioned verse clearly says that hell is an adobereserved for the Mushrekeen and the infidels.

The Blessed Herd Even the Blessed Herd of prophets and

messengers is not unrestricted Allah putsconstraints on them also. If by chance theycommit shirk (god forbids), as per the verse ofholy Quran all their good deeds go in vain.

But if they had setup (for worship) aughtbesides Him (all) that they did would have been

vain.( Sureh Al Anam verse 88)

This is a place of deep pondering andthoughtfulness that the Creator Himself warnedhis best and blessed ones against any lapse,complacency or d isregard as far as theundertakings are concerned. Allah never tolerated any weakness or fragility on the part of them. Hisseizure is firm and nobody will deliver us from it The last messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H) too wascaust ioned against th is endemic. Qurancommanded Muhammad (S.A.W) thus:

And verily it hath been revealed unto thee as untothose before thee (saying) of thous ascribe as apartner to Allah they will fail and thou indeed

certainly". He told us "Making partnership withAllah , disobeying the parents". He then sat

upright continued telling us "Beware! And lendyour ears false evidence and lieing are the biggest

sins. He repeated this so many times that wewished him to calm down."

Like Oneness of Allah, polytheism also hasfour kinds or types: Associating others withAllah, Associating others with His attributions, associating other with his powers and associating others with his rights.

Associating partners with Allah in Worship

The Unity of Divine Being means none hasthe right to be worshipped except Allah. Forexample christians believe in trinity. And thepolytheists of the Arab land thought of angles tobe the daughters of Allah. The goddess, godheads, demigods and the royal offsprengs were thought to be Allah's near and dear ones thus, theywere adored by different names and shapes. Associating partners with Allah's attributions

To believe that others too have qualities ofAllah is tentamounts to associating partners withAllah's attributions. For example believing thatsome one knows about the unseen things or thathe is devoid of weakness , fragility and faults isequally sinful.

Partnership With DivinePowers

Allah being the Creator and the Master ofthis universe passesses unique powers. Thisprivilege is preserved only for Allah and none.Acceptance of offerings, fulfulling wishes, lossesand profitings. making things per missible or nonpermissible, safe guarding people, enactingprinciples and dogmas, all these rights and powersfall in Allah's domain, no body can claim them, If

Associating others withAllah in His Rights

Allah being All Powerful his rights areessential to be followed and observed in our dailylife. We should prostrate before Him. Standing inawe in front of Him, bow in namaz and begrateful to Him. Call Him in distress, he willanswer you. Worship Him he deserves it. This ispurely His rights going against this will term aspolytheism, and polytheism nothing but anunpardonable sin.

Fallen Down From The Sky

Man the best creation of God. All thecomforts and affluences are bestowed upon him.Now this is the first and the fore most duty of theman to obey Him, who is Alone and nobody wasborn to Him, when man gets astray and falls in theabyss of darkness. happed? Because man put his forehead on thethreshold of different mortals and shrines of saintsfor blessing and thus looses his envious place ofAllah's slave. He becomes so superstitious as tolook towards the stars, stones, sacred trees, holymen, exorcists and spell casters for his well beingand solace. He very often falls prey to theglittering of the gold and the heaps of wealth Hisegoism and arrogance know no bounds He eventrys to challenge the Creator. Allah Exalteddescribes man's folly and fallacy thus:

For who so ascribeth partners unto Allah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky and the birds had

snatched him or the wind had blown him to a faroff place.

(Surah Haj Verse 31)

polytheism was done by Qabeel (cain) when hehad disobeyed the Divine law. At the Noah's era.Idols of Widda, Yaghoos, Youk and Nasar were

worshipped. And passionetly the shirk wasspread. Then there came the jews and thechristians they were all the people of scriptures.The jews made prophet Aziz son of Allah (theprotector) and started worshipping him. Graduallytheir clerics, ancestors and the holymen also tooktheir place in the Pantheons. The jews and thechristians were deep in the swamp of shirk.

Before the birth of prophet Mohammed(S.A.W) the pagans of Macca were also practicingshirk. Initially Lath, Manath, Hubul , Boawanawere worshipped. Sacrifices were also offered tothem. Even human being were used to sacrificedat their altar, angles and, jins were shaped intoidols and were invoked to passess the humanbody. Heavenly bodies such as stars. sun, moonbecame lord of destiny. Descendants and elderswere too idolized. Their graves and shrines wereturned into place of worship. Their images wereadorned and it ws thought that they were presentall the times and needed the aminal sacrifices.They made their evil self their own lord. Theyimposed self made limits of permissible andunpermissible. The doubters donned the garb ofshirk this way that appeared they were true

believers. But actually they were infidels in theirreal self. Their faith, their acts and their deedswere apparently like Muslims but their heartswere fraught with evils and their minds wereconspiratrial. They were slaves of corneal desire.Shirk destroyed them but even to day theirmission is continued.

Lesser ShirkLesser shirk comprises of the following,

Hypocrisy early, taking oath in the name of entityother than Allah, bad omen, sooth sayingastrology and talisman, gems and inscribed rings

Hypocrisy If a man does ibadah with this aim and

intention that people will call him a pious andadorer of Allah and he may be able to get worldlybenefits by this reputation, his good deeds and hisgood actions will yield no reward what ever itmight be. His faith in Allah and his belief inhereafter will prove in vain. In the Book of Allahit is mentioned

O you who believe! Waste not your charityby reminders of yours generosity or by enjury like

those who spend their substance to be seen ofmen but believe neither in Allah nor in the Last

Day. They are parable like a hard barren rock, onwhich is a little soil. On it falls heavy rain, whichleave it (just) a bare stone. They will be able to do

nothing with what they have earned. And Allahguides not those who reject faith.

(Sura Baqra V 264)

It is clearly shown to the believers that theyshould give up the hypocrisy and to the desire oftheir lower self for the hypocrisy is a clandestineailment it never warns a man but destroys him unobtrusively. His actions because of hypocrisy willbecome accountable and unpardonable. Allahindicates that the hypocrites are a miserable lot.He commands thus.

So woe to the worshippers, who areneglectful of their prayers those who (want but) to

be seen (of men) but refuse (to supply) (even)neighborly needs

(Surah Maun verse 4-7)In the Divine Revelation a precept is clearly

described. If on the Dooms Day any believerwants the best rewards of his good deeds andgood actions he should not associate others withAllah in his ibadah he should adore Him to getHis consent and pleasement. One should devotehimself to Him trancending hypocrisy, show offand self interest. These are satanic trapes oneshould avoid them.

Allah's last messenger maintains that polytheism is an act of shirk his wise words are

Mustedrak lil Hakim Vol 4 P 229)A hypocrat may get reputation, wealth,

honor and a good position in this life as per hisdesigns and efforts but on the Day of Judgment, slightness, disrepute and destruction will becomein separable part of his eternal life. He will haveno way to go and no one to turn to.

Using Allah's Names inProfanity

Taking oath besides the names andattributions of Allah is prohibited by Divine Law.If any body swears by anything or by any entityexcept Allah and he will firm believe in thisassumption that if he does contrary the said beingwill cause him any harm supernaturally, is enoughfor him to loose his Iman. Rasool Allah (S.A.W)sanctioned the pledges of the period of ignorancehe says:

Allah forbids you swearing by the names ofyour forefathers. He who needs to take oath, he

messenger (S.A.W) it is fully clarified that by theruling of shariah oath of ancestors, saints, jins,angles, Kaba or any prophet is banned. OnlyAllah's sacred names or attributes are allowed tobe taken oath of. Companions (A.B.P.T)discreetly avoided swearing by others save Allah. Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) once having heardOmer (A.B.P.H) swearing by his father, addressedhim thus:

Ÿøiøvû×ôÌûeôøeônûÔøÊøôÞ$äüÚøàûuø×øÌøeôÇønû†ô]Ö×#äôÊøÏø‚û]ø�û†øÕø!Don't swear by your father as he who

besides Allah swears has done the act of Shirk(Musnad Ahmed Bin Hanbal V3 P 278)If by unwillingly any Muslim utters such

loosely words, which come under the term of polytheism he should immediately read and recite theKalmia and should renew his belief.

Bad OmenIgnorance, innocence, lack of knowledge

and naivety throw man in to dark pit ofsuperstition and many types of doubts, thus hedoes not act in conformity with Islamic ways andfalls in the abyss of kufr and shirk. Bad omen isone of these acts. He thinks the sufferings, thelosses and the mistakes are due to some supernatural causes, though, in fact, profit, losses everything is bound to follow Allah's will and consentBut the victim of bad omen attributes it to thatcause which pushes him up to the superstitions. InDivine Dogmas bad omen is thus named as shirk.Rasool Allah (S.A.W) said

and there is no diety save You to turn to. (Musnad Ahmed Ibn-e-Hanbal)

Through this supplication believer will getsolace and resignation. And the bad effects ofwrong assumption will be done away.

Blowing and RecitingIncantations

Before the birth of our Prophet (S.A.W) thepeople of Arabia used to cure the snake bites andscorpion stings by incantations Since the Jewsand the Christians seductions and enchantinginfluenced the Arabs, during the period ofdarkness they also practiced incantations whichwere fraught with profanity and shirk RasoolAllah (S.A.W) banned it saying

polytheism.''(Sunan Abi Dawood. Vol 4 P 9 sunan ibn-e-Maja Vol 4 p 116)

The Ways Of DeceptionsPresent day there are many new types of

"Raqyya" sprung up. In fact they are to misleadbelievers and to earn money by deception. Blackmagic, jinn, possession of evil spirit, apparition, aster self etc are humbug. Mostly so called godlypeople and exorcists knave cleries and quacks dothis business and thus they maintain a socialstatus. They pretend to be having supernatural power. These things were not visible at the time of Rasool Allah (S.A.W) or later in the period ofhis companions Mostly idle, workless, work shyilliterates, hypocrites do such things. May Allahsave us from them.

Writing or tying an AmuletThis is a fact that Rasool Allah (S.A.W)

neither himself wrote any amulet nor did he allowany body to do this for him, the pagan customs ofwriting wearing or tying it round the neck wastermed as an act of shirk He exhorted:

Wearing tying writing talisman on any partof the body or the slate of Allah's name or AythulKursi or tattooing are prohibited and nonpermissible. Believers must desist from suchpagan practices.

Nullifiers of IslamShaik ul Islam Mohammed Bin Abdul

Wahhab says:

Beware of Ten Nullifiers (1) Polytheism in His worship

Said further: Lo! Who so ascribeth partners untoAllah for him Allah hath forbidden Paradise. Hisabode is the Fire for evil doers there will be no

helpers.(Sura Maida Verse 72)

Remember sacrificing animals at a shrine ofa saint or at a haunted place for the purpose ofgetting favour also falls into the category of shirk.

2) If a believers makes intermediary betweenhim and his Lord, or call them and entreats themto recommend his wishes to Allah and thinks theywill answer his calls is a blasphemer (kafir)

3) If a believer does not consider an idolatorkafir or interprets his religion true. He himselfcomes under the perception of kafir.

4) If a man believes that the guidance of anordinary man is more perfect than that ofMohammed (S.A.W) or assumes that theinstructions of any man are better than those ofRasool Allah (S.A.W), for example of any manprefers his own evil-self 's wishes to thecommandments of the Messenger of Allah(M.P.B.H) he is an infidel.

5) If a man put into practice whateverRasool Allah said or did but he has some doubtsand reservations about them is also a blasphemer.

6) If a man mocks at Allah's Deen or makesfun of its System of Rewards and Retribution willremain in the hell forever, Allah says

'' Say: Was it at Allah, and His signs and Hisapostle, that you were making'' Make no excuse,you have rejected faith after you had accepted it.

( Sura Tauba verse 65-66)7) He who casts spell or magic or likes it's

practice will also deserves the same fate. Allahcommands thus:

æøÚø^möÃø×ôùÛFàôÚôàû]øuø‚õuøj#omøÏöçûŸø?]ôÞ$Ûø^ÞøvûàöÊôjûßøèZXÊø¡øo iøÓûËö†û

But neither of these (Harut and Marut) taught anyone (such things) without saying, we are only for

trial: so do not blaspheme. (Surah Baqrah Verse 102)

8) Co-operating or supporting unbelieversagainst Muslims will invite Allah's displeasureand wrath: Allah warns:

(one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrong doingfolk (Sura Maikda V : 51)

9) Some people may have this faith that theyare beyond the scope of Sunnah as Kider Eì³³–³³†D was allowed to remain outside the compliance ofMoses way, they are wrong folk.

10) He who turns his back on Allah's Deenor he who does not want to learn it, nor does helike to apply it in his life, Allah describes hisdisposition this way:

æøÚøàû]ø¾û×øÜöÚôÛ$àûƒöÒôù†øeôFmFkô…øeôùä$öÜ$]øÂû†øšøÂøßûø^]ôÞ$^Úôàøo ]ÖûÛörû†ôÚônûàøÚößûjøÏôÛöçûáø

And who doth greater wrong than he who isreminded of the revelations of His Lord, then

turneth from them.Lo ! We shall requite the guilty

(Surah sajda V 22) Whosoever commits such grave sins as

mentioned above, will get out of the ambit ofIslam except that hapless man, who is forced todo this excess. These things are very dangerousand very often that not happed around us. EveryMuslim has to be vigilant and be fearful of Lord.

Discord by faith has six branches, and itsperpetrator is a dweller of hell.

(1)Denial of the Messenger of Allah. (2) Refusal of any part of the Sunnah. (3) Hawing malice and enmity against

Rasool Allah (S.A.W) (4) To be inimical to any part of Sunnah . (5) To express happiness over the fall of

Deen on account of the believers. (6) Disliking the conquest of Islam.

Refuge in AllahAbu Musa Ashari (M.A.P.W.H) says: one

day Rasool Allah (P.B.U.H) sermoned us:''Opeople! Save yourself from shirk because it is asunnoticeable as the movements of an ant" One ofus asked O Prophet of Allah! How we can save usfrom it when it is more subtle than the creepingsound of an ant" he said? You pronounce thus: OAllah! We take refuge in You from knowinglydoing the sin of associating with You, and alsowe ask for Your forgiveness from these wrongdoings (or lapses) we do in ignorance."
