The ToolingDocs Mold Repair Certification program consists of standardized, multi-level training courses designed to provide attendees with effective, system- ized mold maintenance skills, most of which may be put into practice immediately after completing the curriculum. • Level 1 Certification is a two-day course that features in-depth, hands-on bench work and classroom training. Attendees will learn the following valuable skills: - Eight Stages of Systemized Mold Maintenance - Mold disassembly practices and techniques - How to develop and implement an effective mold maintenance plan - Basic mold terminology, shop and bench setup considerations, mold tooling component inspection and more. • Level 2 Certification is a three-day program that introduces standardized, documented maintenance methodology including rigorous, hands-on training. Students in two-man teams will be required to accurately disassemble, evaluate, measure and determine PM frequencies and complete a mold condition assessment on a 32-cavity, 3-plate mold with tapered shut-offs using the appropriate (supplied) hand tools and their own bench skills. Students will work through all of the Eight Stages of Systemized Mold Maintenance, and determine appropriate corrective actions while applying the troubleshooting and bench techniques learned throughout the course. “Skills Enhancement” segments will focus on TIG welding and polishing techniques along with hot runner electrical diagnostics and wiring methods with hands-on instruction from industry experts. The Level 1 Certification is ideal for Molding Manag- ers, Tooling Engineers, Process Technicians, and mold maintenance personnel who want to increase their knowledge of mold repair practices in a system- ized maintenance structure within a molding plant. The Level 2 Certification is ideal for experienced Molding Managers, Tooling Engineers and mold maintenance personnel who desire more in-depth training in actual bench practices, as well as those who have previously completed the ToolingDocs Level 1 Certification.
