    @ Portland (4/9): The Manchester Monarchs nished the 2013-14 regular season with a 2-1 overtime loss to the Providence Brui

    the Dunkin Donuts Center on Friday night. Right wing James Livingston scored the lone goal for the Monarchs. Left wing Matt F

    recorded both of the goals for the Bruins. Monarchs goaltender J.F. Berube (28-17-2) took his 17th loss of the season, stopping 224 shots. Bruins netminder Niklas Svedberg (25-15-4) earned his 25th win of the season, making 16 saves on 17 shots he faced i

    game. Manchester was 1-for-2 on the power play. Providence went 1-for-5 with the man advantage.

    MONARCHS NEWS & NOTES

    The Manchester Monarchs(48-19-3-6) nished rst in the Atlantic Divisionwith 105 points. The St. Johns IceCaps (46-23-2-5) n

    second in the division with 99 points. The Providence Bruins(40-25-2-9) nished third in the Atlantic Division with 91 points. The Worc

    Sharks(36-34-4-2) nished fourth in the Atlantic Division with 78 points. The Portland Pirates(24-39-3-10) nished fth in the division

    61 points.

    Manchester will face the Norfolk Admiralsin the 2014 Calder Cup Eastern Conference Quarternals. The best-of-ve series begins

    weekend in Manchester with two games on Friday and Saturday before heading to Norfolk for three potential games. Manchester had a

    0-0 record against the Admirals this season. The home team won in all four contests between the two teams.

    The Monarchs nished the season tied for 19th place in the American Hockey Leagueon the power play with 51 goals on 313 attem

    Weal recorded his rst professional hat trick, collecting three goals in the Monarchs 4-3 overtime win over the Pirates on Saturday, April

    Vey nished the season ranked second on the Monarchs with 48 points.

    Vey ranked second on the team with 34 assists.

    Bodnarchuk led the Monarchs and the AHL with a plus/minus rating of plus-43.

    Bodnarchuk became the Monarchs all-time leader in plus/minus this season, with an overall career rating of plus-60.

    Pearson ranked third on the team with 17 goals this season.

    Pearson recorded three goals and four assists for seven points in 25 games with the Kings this season. He was recalled to Los Angele

    Tuesday, February 18.

    OBrien ranked ninth on the Monarchs with 29 points this season.

    OBrien recorded his rst four-point game of the season, collecting two goals and two assists against Bridgeport on Friday, March 14.

    Right wings Sean Backman(10-16=26) and Scott Sabourin(12-14=26) nished the season tied for 10th place on the Monarchs witpoints each.

    Sabourin ranked second on the team with 115 penalty minutes this season.

    Toffoli and right wing James Livingston(8-15=23) were tied for 12th place on the team with 23 points each this season.

    Toffoli registered 12 goals and 17 assists for 29 points in 62 games with the Kings this season. He was recalled to Los Angeles on Tue

    February 18.

    Toffoli has also appeared in two games with the Kings during the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs against the San Jose Sharks.

    DefensemanVincent LoVerde(2-18=20) nished the season ranked 14th on the team with 20 points.

    LoVerde ranked second on the Monarchs and tied for second in the AHL with a plus-37 rating this season.

    Defenseman Andrew Campbell(3-13=16) is the all-time games played leader in Monarchs history with 414 games played. He is the

    player in franchise history to play in at least 400 games.

    Campbell was named the teams winner of the IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Yearaward on Wednesday, April 2.

    Campbell was recalled by the Kings for the rst time on Saturday, April 5. He made his National Hockey Leaguedebut with Los Ang

    on Saturday against theVancouver Canucks. He played in three games with the Kings before being reassigned to Manchester on Apri

    Center Colin Fraser(3-3=6) made his Monarchs debut against the Springeld Falconson Friday, February 21. The veteran forward

    played in 358 NHL games with the Kings, Edmonton Oilers, and Chicago Blackhawks, and has two Stanley Cupchampionships o

    resume.

    Fraser scored his rst goal in a Monarchs uniform in a 5-4 victory over the Pirates on Saturday, February 22. The last AHL goal he scored

    for the Rockford IceHogswhen he collected a goal and two assists in the teams 5-3 win over the Iowa Starson April 13, 2008.

    Goaltender Martin Jonesmade his NHL debut with the Kings against the Anaheim Duckson Tuesday, December 3. He backstopped

    Kings to a 3-2 shootout victory, including going 9-for-9 in the shootout.

    Jones picked up his rst NHL shutout by stopping all 16 shots he faced in the Kings 3-0 victory over the New York Islanderson SatuDecember 7.

    The rookie netminder then stopped all 31 shots he faced in the Kings 6-0 shutout of the Montreal Canadienson Tuesday, December 1

    n 19 games with the Kings, Jones collected a record of 12-6-0, a .934 save percentage, a 1.81 goals-against-average, and four shutouts

    was recalled to Los Angeles on Monday, February 24.

    Jones made his NHL playoff debut with the Kings against the Sharks on Thursday, April 17. He made four saves on four shots in 18 min

    and 26 seconds of action.

    Jones eight wins tied the NHL record for consecutive winning games to start an NHL career with netminder Bob Froesewho won his rst

    games with the Philadelphia Flyersduring the 1982-83 season.

    Jones is the rst goaltender in NHL history to allow an average of less than one goal per game while winning the rst eight appearanc

    his career.

    Jones is the third goaltender in NHL history to record three shutouts in his rst six starts. Goaltender Flat Walshaccomplished the

    with the New York Americansduring the 1928-29 season and netminder Frank Brimsekdid it with the Boston Bruinsduring the 193

    season.

    Jones collected an overall record of 16-3-3 with a 2.13 goals-against-average, a .928 save percentage, and two shutouts in 22 games

    the Monarchs this season.

    and Jason LaBarberafrom November 19 December 29, 2006.

    Berube collected a 28-17-2 record with a 2.37 goals-against-average and a .913 save percentage and three shutouts in 48 games wit

    Monarchs this season.

    Berube nished the season ranked fth in the AHL with 2789:38 minutes played, third with 28 wins, and ninth with a 2.37 goals-aga

    Berube recorded his rst AHL shutout by stopping all 28 shots he faced in the Monarchs 6-0 win over the IceCaps on Saturday, JanuaryHe recorded his second shutout by stopping all 23 shots he faced the 7-0 victory over Bridgeport on Friday, March 14. His registered his

    career shutout by stopping 23-of-23 shots against the Pirates on Saturday, April 12.

    Berube was recalled by the Kings for the rst time on February 7. He was reassigned to Manchester on Monday, February 24.

    Goaltender Patrik Bartosak made his AHL debut in relief duty against Portland on Saturday, March 29. In four games this seaso

    collected a 3-1-0 record, a 1.75 goals-against-average, a .941 save percentage and one shutout.

    Bartosak earned his rst shutout stopping all 29 shots he faced in the Monarchs 5-0 win over the Pirates on Wednesday, April 9.
