Comments• Friendly welcome• Excellent talk, liked the interactive aspect.• Very informative, clear introduction• Endoscopy: Extremely interesting, learnt a lot about the different endoscopic procedures.• Interesting and informative• Day Surgery: It was quite inspiring to see an actual theatre for the first time, despite it being for non life-threatening
operations.• Dialysis: Really interesting, liked learning about the machines and problems of dialysis.• Fascinating to see the actual machines operating on patients.• Paediatrics: Interesting to realise the importance of play in the children's recovery.• Felt privileged to witness the ward in action.• Anaesthetics: The hands-on practice was very informative and interesting • Very interesting and informative of the various roles of an anaesthetist.• X-ray/Radiology: Interesting to hear about the different imaging techniques & like the way we were asked questions about
x-rays and were asked to solve problems.• Insightful presentation, interesting and in-depth tour. Learnt a lot about the importance of this department in the hospital.• Talks: Laura Coxon, Respiratory – Good insight into life as a junior doctor. Really helpful. Learnt a lot.
Heather Stirling, Paediatrics – Really interesting and thought provoking. Gave me a good view on the demands a paediatrician faces.Andrew Short, Ethics – Really interesting debates & useful for future interviews. Very useful to touch on ethics. Detailed.
• Mr Menon, Keyhole & Colorectal Surgery – Made the talk fun and interesting using visuals. Good insight into surgery.• Mr McCullough, Surgery – Good to hear how long it takes to become qualified and the pros and cons of the job.
Understand surgery a lot more now.

career as a GP can be. Extremely useful showing work/life balance.• Kevin West, application process – Brilliant talk, highlighting exactly what I need to be thinking, in preparation for
applying to medical school. Very informative and beneficial. Immensely helpful and worthwhile 10/10. unbiased view. Q&A excellent.
• Dr Andrew Ashley Smith, Psychiatry – Very engaging. Great insight into Psychiatry. Interesting case studies and process of rehab useful. Interesting alternative view.
• Chris Harmston, Colette Marshall & Steve Parker, Surgery – Amazing and humorous talk from Chris, great insight. Really made me want to follow a surgical career. The colorectal talk was very informative. Brilliant people, very friendly and enthusiastic. Loved handling the surgical equipment.
• Interview Practice – Extremely good/useful advice. Valuable practice, amazing experience. Great to speak to medical student about student life and application process, university choices etc.
• Med students Jayne Beresford & John Williams – Enjoyable and informative with friendly people. Nice to see they still had a good full university experience. Mention of finances appreciated. Interesting to hear about the lives of postgraduate junior doctors.
• Matthew Patterill, Work Experience & Anaesthetics – Helpful to see it can be a ‘family’ career too. Very informative. Learnt more options for family friendly specialities. Great opportunity.
• Sharmila Sothi, Oncology – Great personality and I was very grateful for the speech. Amazing information given, enjoyed it very much. Dr Sothi covered a painful subject in a sensitive way. Her presentation was brilliant. She had a great influence on me.
