Bell Ringer

• I want you to write about a time when nature ruined your day. What I mean by that is give me a situation when the weather stopped you from something you were looking forward to, or in the middle of. Maybe a swarm of hostile wasps roamed the streets of your neighborhood one holiday weekend, or maybe that time you were held prisoner in your tent because of a wandering bear? Please write at least 4 – 5 sentences.

Vocabulary List #1

• You’ll be given 6 Vocabulary lists this quarter every Monday.

• Every Friday there will be an assignment attached to these lists for a grade.

• At the end of the 9 weeks there will be a summative test on all the words from every list.

• Please: • define the word

• Identify its part of speech (verb, noun, etc…)

• Write a sentence using the word correctly (you may change the tense of the word if necessary, for example if your word was “charge”, you may write: “The King smiled as the enemy armed charged his palace gates.”)
