SMCS Homily Series Apples to Oranges Next week, we begin our Lenten series, which ties in with the SMCC homily series "Attitude Adjustment". We often think that we should have all the same things and the same talents others, but God didn’t create us all the same – He made each of us unique, like apples and oranges. This is a gift! Sadly, we often compare ourselves with others, thinking we are better or worse than other people, which is NOT what God wants. God warns us about comparison, including bragging, and also about thinking less of ourselves. In this series, we will talk about what it means to be humble (thinking of ourselves less), and will learn how we can stay humble through prayer and service. God is greater than us, He knows better than us, and also knows us better than we know ourselves.
