BABY LOCK NEW OWNERS - Embroidery

This class is for all embroidery machines, both embroidery-only and combo machines, and

will cover the screens, icons and set-up options that may have you wondering “what is that

for?” You will create an embroidery design in class and then stitch it out. You’ll need to bring

your machine, embroidery unit, hoops and all the regular tools you need for machine embroidery. Specific

supplies needed will be available prior to class.

MACHINE TRAINING Learn how to use your sewing machine - everything from maintenance and navigating to decorative

stitches and accessory feet. One hour instruction is available on the third Tuesday of each month.

You may make an appointment at another time if these dates are not convenient, with the understanding that

while we offer one-on-one instruction, interruptions may occur due to the need to assist other customers.

Destiny IQ Designer Pot Holder

Missed this class the first time? We’re offering it again. Take what you’ve learned about

how the Destiny IQ Designer works and create a festive pot holder. In this class you’ll

create an embroidered applique using the auto outlining features as well as hand drawn

stitches. You'll also add stippling and backing, creating your "quilt sandwich". And here's

your opportunity to try a new foot...you'll finish off your pot holder with the Adjustable

Bias Binder foot.

AMERICAN SEWING GUILD - new date & time!

The American Sewing Guild (ASG) meets each month at Kingdom in our Simi Valley store on the first Thursday of each month, at 9:30 a.m. ASG is a national non-profit organization dedicated to people who believe sewing is a rewarding and creative activity. Bring your “show & tell” and visit at the next meeting. All ages are welcome.

ADVANCED CLASS

Our Advanced class format is unchanged. You will continue to bring your laptop and Cameo to class.

In February, we will do a new, really fun technique called Knock Out Vinyl (heat applied). You will bring a

t-shirt or sweatshirt for your new design. More details closer to class. (Please note that the Advanced

Class is currently full. Any openings will be announced.) Tuesday, February 13 - 6-8 pm

All new BASIC CAMEO class - We will focus on the Silhouette software. You will now receive your kit

with uncut material to be cut at home using the designs you create in class. A revised Standard Supply

list will be sent prior to class. BRING your laptop (not your Cameo) with the software loaded . If you don’t

have a laptop, you can pair up with someone else who does.

January - general software overview. Make sample designs that you can keep for reference or apply to

a project of your choice. Tuesday, January 9 - 6-8 pm

In March - focus on bringing outside artwork into the software. We will play with editing that artwork, and

make an appliqué that you can use with an embroidery or sewing machine, or hand appliqué. We will also

cover various methods of cutting fabric. Tuesday, March 6* - 6-8 pm
