meetI am a new AD in a completely new territory for Mondo! The excitement of being part of a new office is something I've never experienced before. There's so much possibility that lays ahead, and so much responsibility to take on. Everyone wants to succeed in their career, and usually focuses daily to obtain that success for themselves. However, a new office allows you to refocus and see the bigger picture strategically of not only success for yourself, but also, your office and company as a whole. I am coming up on three months now and it has been an amazing journey so far. Many people can see this as a challenge; however, with Ashley as our manager the opportunities are endless! When you have someone that sets the standard for the office day in and day out, and literally exemplifies the possibility that any Mondo employee can achieve great goals by sticking to the basics and putting 120% in every single day, it will make you want to jump out of the bed every morning and stay as late as you can. I think the key is to always set the bar higher to achieve more developing as an individual and growing Mondo!

One of the most exciting aspects of the LA office is the close knit relationship and bond that comes with opening a new office. I haven't been to any of the other offices yet, and I am super excited to see SF in action. However, I speak for all of us in LA when I say it feels like family here. We all have each other's backs, share in each other's success, and we are there to pick each other up on a bad day. We are experiencing the same new challenges together for the first time. This is how every successful office should function: as a team, and Mondo LA brings this to life every single day. I am so fortunate to be a part of this venture, and can't wait to see how large our territory grows along with our wallets ;)

I am a proponent of stepping out of your comfort zone and doing something that scares you every single day! With that being said, I recommend that everyone to step out of their comfort zone at some point and experience what it’s like to take on calculated risks when it comes to advancing your career like a new office. It’s an experience that grows you and pushes you to be the best employee and coworker you can be on a daily basis. The successes are that much sweeter because you are setting and achieving milestones in a completely new territory for the company as a whole!

A little bit about me: I am a transplant from the east coast! I grew up outside of Washington DC and went to the University of Georgia - GO DAWGS!!! After college, I embraced my love for travel, knowledge, and new opportunities. I moved to Spain for three months, and followed that up with a year and a half in France! It was the experience of a lifetime, and I learned so much about myself and what I wanted for my future and career. That experience led me to step out of my comfort zone yet again and move across the country when the farthest west I had been was Texas. It was the best decision I could have made, and the journey has led me to this amazing opportunity at Mondo! I am so excited to close more deals, and help this achieve milestones for years to come :) In my free time, I enjoy eating my way through LA as the foodie I am along with working off those calories running along the Venice boardwalk and canals. On the weekends, my roommate and I venture up and down the coast every chance we get in addition to constantly planning new travels with our return to Paris as the next big one in September! As Michael Palin said, “Once the travel bug bites there is no known antidote, and I know that I shall be happily infected until the end of my life.” That being said, the work hard play hard mentality is alive and well here in LA - we can’t wait to see the rest of our wins for 2015!

THE STORYConnecticut’s highest court is saying ‘let them live’... as in 11 death row inmates in the state will be spared. Connecticut got rid of the death penalty three years ago. But that change didn’t apply to these 11 prisoners who were already on death row. Now, a court’s said that executing them would violate the state’s constitution. Read: it would count as “cruel and unusual punishment.”

WHAT TO SAY TO YOUR FRIEND WHO ALWAYS BRINGS UP POLITICS AT DRINKS...Happy Iowa State Fair. On Thursday, 8/13, the annual fair kicked off. Which means over the next 11 days, most of the 2016 presidential candidates will be eating corn dogs, admiring butter sculptures, and asking people to vote for them. Iowa is a BFD because it’s where primary voting season kicks off in February. The Iowa caucuses are pretty much town meetings where voters discuss the best candidate for the nomination. It’s the first major electoral event every year, and the first real test in the race to the White House. And the fair is a BFD because it’s the first time candidates get to stand on their soapbox in front of Iowa voters. This year’s lineup includes more than a dozen candidates. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have reportedly said ‘no thanks’ to speaking, but they’re both expected to be there on Saturday. Cue memes of the Donald and Hillz sharing a pumpkin spice funnel cake.
