What are they made from?

The normal yurt consists of a durable fabric cover, tension band and a wood frame that includes a lattice wall, radial rafters, central compression ring and a framed door.

How are they kept?

Most yurts are usually kept cool all day. They are kind of humid and damp but are

not very hot.

How is food cooked and water supplied?

There usually not connected to water supplies so they get their water from public wells.On cold mornings and evenings they cook their food on a woodburning stove which heats the yurt. On hot days they use a gas hob.

What type of roof does it have?

It consists of a turkic roof ring and is made of bent wood with a cloth to go over it.

What materials are doors and windows made of?

The door ways are covered over by felt or colorful rugs. They are usualy very beautiful with stitched patterns.

Yes, they would work because there just like a normal house just made differently.
