12 days at minimum 12 flowers/liter, and according to a specific method of enfleurage.
• After this period, the macerate is settled for 24 hours, and it is then filtered, purified, and enriched with a

kiwi, a concentrate oF micro-nUtrients...“Kiwi” is a New-Zealand word which originally meant “apteryx”, the countries’ emblematic bird. It appeared in the French language only in 1970 to designate this fruit which was formerly called “currant of China”, in reference to its slightly acid pulp taste which is comparable to the current one. Kiwi comes from South-East China and grows in tropical mountain climates.Under its skin covered with hair, kiwi hides a beautiful, sweet and acidy emerald green pulp, sprinkled with small black grains.Kiwi is above all an excellent source of vitamin C, much more than any citrus fruit, and contains also vitamins A and E, calcium, iron and folic acid.Kiwi’s little black grains are source of vitamin E and provitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5 and B6. Thanks to its rich content of potassium, magnesium, iron, copper, zinc and phosphorus, kiwi is one of the fruits with the highest antioxidant activity, making it one of the most attractive cosmetic ingredients. Shampoos, creams, masks, kiwi is used in all its forms.

KiwiA dynamic fruit
The Kiwi is declined in about forty decorative or edible species.
Actinidia chinensis is the most spread specie which can also rightly
be called Actinidia deliciosa.
Actinidia is a climbing liana which can reach 10 to 15 meters in high, and is
divided in twining and voluble and graceful branches.
They carry deciduous, alternate and simple large leaves of about 10 cm long,
rounded shaped similar to the hazel one, with ciliated and serrated edges.
During summer, the kiwi shows white and yellow pretty perfumed flowers
in clusters of 3 to 5 flowers. The corolla has 5 sepals and 5 petals. Kiwi is
dioecious: male and female are on separated head trees.
The fruit’s ripe is in autumn and is fully mature in winter.
The fruits are oblong berries, 4 to 7 cm long, weighting 30 to 100g, with a
hairy epidermis even rough, brown-colored. They contain a pale green slightly
acid, juicy, soft and sweet edible pulp. In the heart of this pulp, there are lots
of small and fine black grains.
Botanical descriPtion
Kiwis are fruits from several lianas species of the type Actinidia, family of the Actinidiaceae.
Products from China, particularly from Shaanxi province, they are also found in tropical mountain climates.
cUltivation
Actinidia grows well in deeps and light soils, well drained at a pH of 6.0 to 6.5
with a position in full sun and protected from the wind. The plant feels the cold.
Usually, the multiplication is done by sowing, in spring, but 4 male plants for
1 female plant are obtained on average, which are only differentiated from
each other at first flowering.
The female flowers have an ovary and a fairly large pistil at the center of the
flower, while stamens are very showy on male flowers. Then, we can graft
male plants with a female graft.
The harvesting is done in winter. A seedling grows after 3 to 8 years. The
production is at its peak after 10 to 15 years. Then, 300 to 500 fruits can be
harvested by tree and per year for around fifty-year long!

Kiwi can be enjoyed as a dessert, natural, or with sweet condiments. It has to be chosen with a smooth peel but
not too soft. It is better to choose them too hard on the market because they ripen fast at room temperature
and can easily be stored for 10 days.
• Cosmetic uses
Kiwi is soothing and calming, perfect for sensitive, dry, devitalized and irritated skins.
It has antioxidant properties: ideal to fight skin ageing. Kiwi is also a soft and tonifying exfoliant: it is one of
