Arack is a metal base frame or support whose mission

is to house electronic equipment, computer sys-

tems and telecommunication networks. Te meas-

ures, are standarized to be compatible with any equipment

regardless the manufacturer. Tey are also known as cabinets,

computer cabinets or comunication racks. Usually have remov-

able glass or metal side doors, there

are models of floor and wall , and

offer a variety of accessories to facili-

tate subsequent installation of equip-

ment: trays, panels, cable guides,

patch panels, wiring distribution

rings, power strips, ventilation units

to help cooling of equipment, etc.

Tey are divided into several product ranges, depending on

use and height (the height of the racks is measured in a unit

called U, which is equivalent to 44.45 mm, or 1.75 inches). De-vices are designed to be installed in a rack should be a height

that can be expressed as an integer multiple of a U.

Te racks or cabinets, wall murals, available from 6U to 15U

for wallmount and the ground rack cabinets, with availability

in sizes ranging from 22U to 42U height (possibly the most

And what are themain uses of a rack?

Mainly used in places that need to accommodate a

large number of devices, such as data processing

centers and enterprises, and where space is limi-

ted and needs to be optimized. Normally, to install servers

standard size that fit the 19 rack, but can vary in level 1,2, 3, 4U or more switches, and patch panels and wiring an

office or company that needs to be centralized and distri-

buted in an orderly and controlled way.

All equipment to be installed on a horizontal rail slides and

fixed with screws on the side, known as profile rack. We

also have trays and supports in order to support other less

standardized devices such as monitors, keyboards or other

types of systems of larger volume and weight.

performance of our equipment, reduce consumption and increase

trays, thermostats and temperature controllers, ventilation

systems designed to take up minimal space inside the cabinet,

with all necessary cabling.

The cable guides allow us

to efficiently organize the

19 rack. By rings, holes or

The range of guides to

wiring consists of different

models to offer various pos-

sibilities for installation in

cabinets Monolyth, to meet

any customer need to keep

clustered within the wiring

closet. Guide wires are

installed to the frontal gland

in the closet, you might havering of plastic or metal, with

lid, with brush to prevent

the ingress of dirt and dust

in order to better protect

black and cold rolled steel

with a degreasing, phospho-

ric finish cleaning water and

electro-static protection.

PANELSCOVERS
