IMPORTANT NOTICE
New legislation REQUIRES all students
entering 7th, 8
th, 9
th, 10
th, 11
th, and 12
th grades
to receive a Tdap (Pertussis) booster
immunization prior to next year’s school
enrollment. Failure to meet the requirement
will result in your student being excluded
from school. Please send/bring your student’s
proof of the Pertussis booster immunization to
the Health Office for documentation. You can
check your immunization records for the
following DTap/Tdap/DTP on or after their
7th
birthday. Td or Dt does not meet the
requirement. Please note this immunization is in addition to
other DTP, Dtap, or Td immunizations. The
requirement will be met if given on or after
their 7th
birthday. Consult with your health
care provider for further information.

Vista Murrieta is raising funds for our girl’s soccer, golf and boy’s soccer teams. By
your support we will be able to purchase equipment and afford our athletes opportunities
that would otherwise not be possible.
For only $17, you can purchase a ticket to attend one of the most well known golf
tournaments on the PGA TOUR – The Buick Invitational. This ticket is good for a one-
day entry into the tournament ANY DAY during the weeklong event. This is a
significant reduction from the weekend ticket price of $32 at the gate. And Vista
Murrieta receives $15 for each ticket sold.

The Parent Center Resource Library: Library is open Monday- Friday,
9:00 a.m.– 4:30 p.m. The library has books, videos, audios, and pamphlets on
parenting, child development, and other specialty topics. Books can be borrowed
for two (2) weeks, videos and audio tapes for one week and there are many free
materials. Specialty children’s books are also available. Resource Library will be closed
December 17, 2010- January 11, 2011.
Parent Education Classes
Now enrolling Parent Project: Monday evenings, February 28 – April 4, 2011, 6:00-
8:30 p.m. A parenting class designed for parents struggling with strong-willed or out-of
control pre-teens and teens. The course will focus on prevention of drugs/alcohol,
improving child’s grades and attendance, peer involvement and eliminating power
struggles. Limited Enrollment. Cost: $25 per person, $45 per couple. Location: Parent
Center at the Child Development Center, 24300 Las Brisas Road, Murrieta, Room #3.
Childcare available for children over two (2) years of age – reservations are required.
Children must be potty trained. Cost: $ 2.00 per child, per evening. For more
information and registration, call (951) 304-1623.
Now enrolling Parenting with P.R.I.C.E. (Positivity, Responsibility, Influence,
Consequences, and Encouragement):.Thursday evenings, January 27- March 7, 2011,
6:00-8:30 p.m. A seven-week parenting series providing parents with skills in assertive
communication, limit-setting, consequences, building self-esteem, and alternatives to
hitting, shaking and spanking. Cost: $25.00 per person, $45 per couple. Location: Parent
Center at the Child Development Center, 24300 Las Brisas Drive, North, Murrieta.
Childcare available for children over two (2) years of age, $2.00 per child, reservations
are required. Children must be potty
trained.
NOW ENROLLING THROUGH MSJC Children and Youth with Special Needs CDE 140-5061 (3.0 units): Tuesday Evenings, January 25 though May 24, 2010. This
course provides a care-giving framework for students preparing to work in childcare
settings with children with special needs. Emphasized are developmental care-giving
strategies as established and outlined by Title 22 and Title 5 state requirements,
developmentally appropriate practices, accreditation standards set by the National
Association for the Education of Young Children and high quality practices
recommended by California State Department of Education and West Ed. Location:
Parent Center at the Child Development Center, 24300 Las Brisas Road, Murrieta, Room
#3.
Specialty Classes
First Aid, CPR, AED Training: December 4, 2010 or January 8, 2011 (Saturday), 2010,
7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Limited enrollment; register early. For CPR Re-certification, your
card must not be expired before the scheduled class. To re-certify, you must have your
current card with you. Instructors: Victor and Kathy Johnson, of Heartsavers. CPR &
First Aid Cost: $75.00 per person (($35.00 with proof of DSS-CCL Licensing
Orientation, or current CCL license) Parent Center at the Child Development Center,
24300 Las Brisas Road, Murrieta, Room #3. For more information and registration, call
(951) 304-1623. No childcare available.
