WEBSITE REVIEW The Transistor Museum: http://semiconductormuseum.com/Museum_Index.htm

"One of my interests is the history of semiconductors and the best site in my opinion is the transistor museum website which has been operating for quite a few years and is regularly updated. It concentrates on the invention on the transistor and the subsequent commercialisation and improvement that followed through the 1950s to the 1970s.

The site includes transcripts of audio histories from people who made major contributions to the development of transistors and integrated circuits. This includes early hi-fi amplifiers, power transistors, the SCR, the 2N2222 and even the 555 timer IC. They even have old transistors for sale including the germanium devices used in the 1959 Polaris missile guidance computer!" - Stuart, ZL2TW
