METALS TRADING HIGHLIGHTS
October 2013
Highlights:
Average daily volume for October 2013 COMEX metal (Gold, Silver and Copper) futureswas 246,608 contracts, compared with 224,302 contracts during October 2012, anincrease of 9.94 percent.
Average daily volume for October 2013 COMEX metal (Gold, Silver and Copper) optionswas 37,453 contracts, compared with 35,603 contracts during October 2012, an increaseof 5.2 percent.
Average daily volume for October 2013 Gold futures was 150,355 contracts, comparedwith 136,827 contracts during October 2012, an increase of 9.89 percent.
Average daily volume for October 2013 Gold options was 30,070 contracts, compared
with 30,322 contracts during October 2012, a decrease of 0.83 percent. Average daily volume for October 2013 Silver futures was 41,236 contracts, compared
with 38,010 contracts during October 2012, an increase of 8.49 percent.
Average daily volume for October 2013 Silver options was 7,300 contracts, compared with5,250 contracts during October 2012, an increase of 39.05 percent.
Average daily volume for October 2013 Copper futures was 55,017 contracts, comparedwith 49,464 contracts during October 2012, an increase of 11.23 percent.
Average daily volume for October 2013 Platinum futures was 9,660 contracts, comparedwith 9,202 contracts during October 2012, an increase of 4.98 percent.
Average daily volume for October 2013 Palladium futures was 4,345 contracts, comparedwith 3,684 contracts during October 2012, an increase of 17.94 percent.
