Successful Stories of Ex -Trust Children

Ramakrishnan

Ramakrishnan came to the Trust when he was at age 10.

He came from a low income family along with his younger

brother. He has successfully completed his Engineering

degree. Now, he is working as a software developer in

Mount Moriah Infotech, a private company at Nagercoil.

Samuel Nesaraj

Samuel Nesaraj came to the Trust when he was Year 1. Both his parents worked at KWTC and now they are working in Kings School. He has two younger sisters. He was educated by the Trust in a local government school. He graduated BBA degree course at TDMNS College, Kallikulam. He then successfully completed MBA course at MS University, Tirunelveli in 2014. He worked as a supervisor in Eagle press Chennai for 2 years. Now he is working as a marketing executive in Jeya Enterprises, a leather bag company in Malasia.

Siva Sankar

Siva Sankar came to the Trust when he was at age 8. He has

only one younger sister. His mother worked at KWTC and

now working in Kings School. He was educated by the Trust

in a local government school. Then he did B.A English, a

degree course in St.John’s College, Tirunelveli. He has been

working as a supervisor in Nellai Hotel, Dindigul for the

past four years.

Manikandan

Manikandan came to the Trust Outreach Programme when he

was at age 8. He came from a broken family. He was educated

by the Trust in a local government school. Now, he is doing

higher secondary in accountancy group. He is going to appear

the board exam during March 2020 and preparing for the

examinations.

Education Outreach Programme

Christopher

Christopher came to the Trust from a low-income

family. He completed his Diploma in Mechanical

Engineering. Now, he works as a Mechanic in Bajaj

Automobile Company, Tirunelveli.

Muthukrishnan

Muthukrishnan came to the Trust from a low-income family.

He was educated by the Trust. He did his ITI course in

Electricianing. Today he works as an Electrician in Sivakasi and

Kerala and he has now taken up a new job in Dubai.

Achievements of Bursary Children

Our bursary children participated in various competitions during the month of December and their

achievements are given below:

Duraga Vasanth and Snowson of Year 12 and Jasper of Year 10 participated in Christmas carol

singing competition in different locations and their team got first prize in Nijam TV, Vallioor.

Jerin of Year 11 participated in the state

level swimming competition held at

Tirunelveli on 1st December. She got 2

silver medals and a bronze medal.

A few bursary children updates are given below:

Divya Mary Nathan Divya Mary Nathan is a Year 12 student. She has two elder brothers. She is a calm and active girl. She mingles with all the students in her class. She is good in academics and scored 76% in her Year 11 Public Examinations. Her aim is to become a Doctor in the future and serve the poor people in the community by giving free medicines. Her hobby is reading storybooks.

Menaka

Menaka is a Year 12 student. She has only one elder sister. She is bold and funny. She is anger free and taking things easily. She is average in academics and scored 64% in the Year 11 public examinations. As she is very friendly to all she has many friends in her class and other junior classes as well. She respects the teachers and helps them. Her aim is to become a graduate in Arts and preparing well for that. Her hobby is reading storybooks.

Esai Prakash Raja

Esai Prakash Raja is a Year 7 student. His younger brother Surendhar is studying in Kings School Year 4. He is good in academics and scores grade B in all the subjects. He has chosen skating as his activity and maths as his club activity this year. He regularly goes to evening football extra coaching classes at school. His aim is to become a Doctor and serve the people in the future. His hobby is playing football.

Nithin Rahul Nithin Rahul is a Year 8 student. His elder brother, Midhun is studying in Kings School Year 12. He is very good in academics and scores grade A in all the subjects. He is bold and confident. He is friendly to all. He has taken up Swimming as his activity. He is also a member of the Community Organisation – Cubs/Scouts. He has attended a scout camp and received a certificate for his participation. He has played Hockey since his Year 4 during evening coaching classes and is a member of the Junior Hockey team. He has played the district match held at Tirunelveli and his team qualified to play state level during this year.

Kings Won Christmas Choir Singing Competition -2019

Kings Schools won the Christmas -2019 Choir

Competition organised by Mary’s Boy Child Team

held at Royal Raj Mahal, Vallioor on Saturday 30th

November.

Altogether 15 teams from the surrounding

churches and schools participated. Two teams

from Kings School participated. Each team has 19

students. Girls and Boys in cheerful attire and

their graceful singing won the hearts of the

audience. Both the Kings School team bagged the

winner’s trophy and shared the cash prize of

Rs.20, 000 each.

The winning teams and the Music teachers,

Mr.Neko and Mr.Subin were congratulated for

this achievement by the Chairman,

Correspondent and the Principals.

Kings Won Nijam TV Christmas Carol Contest 2019

Kings Schools participated the Christmas

Carol Singing Competition organised by

YMCA, at C.S.I Home Church, Nagercoil on

Saturday 30th November.

Altogether 30 teams from the surrounding

churches, schools and colleges participated

in three categories.

Two teams from Kings School participated in

under school categories. Each team has 19

students. It gave them a confident in their

singing and had a wonderful experience.

Kings Schools won the 4th Christmas Choir Competition 2019 organised by Nijam TV held at Nijam TV, South Vallioor on Saturday 7th December. Teams from the schools and colleges of Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli districts participated. Two teams from Kings Matric & CBSE Schools participated. Each team has 19 students. The students enthralled the crowd giving a fabulous performance. Kings CBSE School bagged the first prize and received a shield and the cash prize of Rs.7, 500. Kings Matric School banged the second prize and received a shield along with the cash prize of Rs.5, 000. The winning teams and the Music teachers, Mr.Neko and Mr.Subin were congratulated for this achievement by the Chairman Colin Wagstaff, Correspondent Mr.J.Navamani, Principal of Kings Matric School Dr.Frederick Sam and Principal of Kings CBSE School Mrs.Sahaya Panimalar Anu.

The students were explained about the career options available in the marine field by Mr. Avinendra

Srivastava, Assistant Commando. He explained in detail about how he entered into the marine field and

his experience in this field in different prior positions from multiple locations. He also explained the

different courses needed to get a job on a cruise ship. Later on, he said the opportunities for girls in the

administrative level jobs also. He was so kind and answered all the questions asked by our students, they

clarified their doubts with him and happily returned to the School. Totally, the students benefited with lots

of information about the marine field and discussed the careers available for them in the future with their

teachers as well.

Field Trip

A field trip was arranged for Std X to visit the VOC Port Trust, Tuticorin on December 9. The students

had the opportunity to see the layout and the operations of the Port. A short video about the history of

the Port was shown to them. Students visited a defence ship –AADESH. The assistant commando

explained the navigational aids, tracking system and the emergency exist etc. Students also got the

experience of witnessing a cargo ship, huge cranes lifting large containers and the transporting of coal.

They then visited the hare island (coral island) and the students’ pen down their questionnaire at Our

Lady of Snows Church. The children found the trip was very useful and informative and it kindles their

mind to get more information on the Indian Navy Service.

Orientation Programme

On December 14, Mr.Vadivel, a special trainer for

NEET and JEE gave an orientation on Physics for

classes X and XI students. Students were provided

with various learning techniques to overcome the

barriers in learning Physics.

Career Guidance Programme on Sports

A career guidance programme was conducted on 7th December for the students of Std IX-XII of Matric

and Std XI of cbse. Sports head Mr. Joshua said, sports offers a plethora of opportunities for the

students having a passion for sports. He briefed the various sports career options available like the

performance related careers, coaching related careers, teaching related careers and communication

medial careers. He also said about the new scopes emerging in sports careers. He encouraged the

students to become an entrepreneur, gave the ideas of having their own fitness centre, yoga-training

centre and also to be a swimming pool administrator, etc. The students were benefited with the ideas

of being a sportsman and getting opportunities in the central government and state government

sectors. The session ended with the question answer session. The programme was very informative

and useful and the students were motivated to focus further on the sports.

Building Block Competition:

If a child learns new things through joyful healthy play, they develop love of learning. Keeping this in mind Kings kindergarten organised building block competition for PKG on December 10. They made creative things with enthusiasm using proper planning, constructing and deconstructing techniques.

Candle Decoration: To motivate the children, a candle decoration event was held on 3rd December for Kindergarten kids. Students used their creativity and imagination to come up with decorative designs of candles using waste material. The children participated with great enthusiasm. Finally, the candles were displayed in the classroom.

Internal Competitions at KG

Science Fair In the Salaam to Kalam ‘Science Fair’ competition conducted

in Tirunelveli on December 4 and 5, four students from the

CBSE School participated. Students displayed their

innovative project and highlighted how their innovation

could revolutionise our day-to-day activities.

Christmas Tree Making:

To bring the spirit of Christmas, the Christmas Tree Making Competition was conducted for Class III on December 11. Students made very beautiful and stunning Christmas tree models. Each student expressed their idea of Christmas through this Christmas tree model.

Origami Origami, the art of folding papers enables the students to unfold their creativity to the world. On December 11, Origami Competition was conducted for the students of Classes I and II. Students participated and beautiful models expressing their artistic skill and creativity.

Carol Singing: Carol Singing Competition was conducted

for students of Classes IV and V on

December 11. Students sang beautiful

songs expressing the spirit and joy of

Christmas.

Olympiad Exam

The Olympiad Exam for Maths was conducted on 5th December for all the classes. External

exams are conducted to prepare the students for the highly competitive world and also to give them a glimpse of how the competitive

exams will be.

Quiz Competition

Quiz competition on “Arivu Thiruvizha’ title was conducted by The Hindu Tamil at Sankar Nagar, Tirunelveli on 3rd December. The students of Std IX-XI from Matric School participated. Around 120 teams involved in screening test for semi-final. Kavin Kumar of our student, Std XI answered few audience questions and got a special prize from Quizmaster.

On December 3, 18 students from CBSE School participated in a Quiz Competition conducted by The Hindu Tamil in Sree Jeyandra Sarasathi Higher Secondary School, Tirunelveli. Students were honoured in the assembly by the Correspondent for their participation.

Parents Teachers Meeting

Parents Teachers Meeting was conducted for the parents of Classes IX and XI students on December

14. The meeting was presided by our Correspondent. The Principal and Deputy Principal briefed the

parents on the changes made in the exam and evaluation pattern for Classes X and XII. Further

parents were clearly informed about the strategies that will be implemented in the academics area to

make the students produce excellent results.

Christmas Celebration at Kings School

Kings School celebrated Christmas, commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ with great fervour and

enthusiasm on 20th December 2019. To set a perfect example of secularism, we celebrate all the

festivals in our school. A special assembly of the children was held in the school A.K Hall. The

programme started with a prayer and prayer song. The students sang melodious carols and danced

beautifully to wish their teachers and classmates. The event showcased the life and journey of Jesus

Christ. Our Correspondent Mr.J.Navamani wished the children a very happy Christmas and a peaceful

New Year 2020, he encouraged the children to exit all the negative thoughts in this year and enter the

New Year with a fresh and positive mind. Santa Claus’s entry made the event more colourful and it was

admired by all the children. In the end, Christmas cakes were distributed to the children.

SPORTS State Level Swimming Competition -2019

State Level swimming competition was held at Vikasa International School, Sayrapuram Tuticorin on 1st December. Around 500 swimmers from all over the Tamilnadu State competed in different categories. Totally 25 students (8 -Matric & 17 -Cbse) from Kings Schools participated. We got totally five gold medals four silver medals, six bronze medals, and one Individual Championship. Kings School (Matric): D.Jerin of Std XI, won 2 silver medals in 100m butterfly and 100m backstroke and a bronze medal in 00m freestyle. Siranjeev Aathavan of Std VI, won a gold medal in 4x50 freestyle relay. K.Sanjeev Athavan of Std VII, won 5 gold medals in 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 50m breaststroke and 4x50 freestyle relay. He also got the individual championship in under group 3 boys category. Kings School (CBSE): Antony Sanitta of Std VII, won a bronze medal in 4x50 freestyle relay T.Anushka of Std VI, won a bronze medal in 4x50 freestyle relay T.Tharuniga of Std V, won a bronze medal in 4x50 freestyle relay Adira Charvi Halis Leslie of Std V, won a bronze medal in 4x50 freestyle relay Princy of Std III, won a bronze medal in 4x25 freestyle relay Amala Chrsti of Std III, won a bronze medal in 4x25 freestyle relay Maria Agnes Daria of Std II, won a bronze medal in 4x25 freestyle relay Annie Sandra of Std IV, won a bronze medal in 4x25 freestyle relay Kishore Ramnath of Std VII, won a gold medal in 4x50 freestyle relay Sahaya Sanitus of Std III, won 2 silver medals in 25m freestyle, 25m butterfly and a bronze medal in 25m breaststroke.
