President’s Message By: Madison Schultz September 14th, 2019
Hello ASHRAEcok Family! I am super excited to serve as your President this year! My goal for the year is to Empower Members. We have over a dozen returning and over a dozen new volunteers that are helping us out this year! I am eager to get all of them engaged and involved in chapter activities. We have a sensational line-up of speakers that is being finalized. I can’t wait until you see it! There are also lots of electrifying events happening this year. If you have an idea for an event or activity that will empower members, please reach out.
Many of you attended this year’s golf tournament. This annual kick-off event raises money for Research Promotions (to help us reach our goal of $43,000) and our chapter Scholarship. Thank you to everyone who played, participated, volunteered, and sponsored. And a huge thank you to our Platinum, Gold, Silver, Dinner, and all of our hole sponsors. We could not put on this event without you! As most of you know, after many years we are changing our monthly meeting location. Our new location is Will Rogers Theater at 4322 N Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73118. With the change in location we are also changing caterers. This change means we need to have a final headcount on the Friday before each chapter meeting. So please sign up for chapter meetings early! Our first chapter meeting is
scheduled for October 9. I look forward to seeing you all there! All of the committee chairs are hard at work planning spectacular events for the year. Please reach out if you want to get engaged with all they are doing. Madison
