Protection LEP Extension– KPK

Nukari ya Karobar Project – PPAF

The duration of the project 'Livelihood

Enhancement and Protection' is from

April 2014 to May 2014 with total target

of 135 women. A total of 50 women have

been trained during the month of May in

Basic Tailoring Trade.

Next month's planning includes the

training of 32 participants.

The duration of Nukari ya Karobar project

is from February 2014 to June 2014. In

this project 200 participants, across the

four provinces of Pakistan, will be given

training on Managing Naukri ya Karobar

Center. A total of 175 participants have

been trained to date, of them 46 were from

Bahawalpur, 37 were from Karachi, 34

were from KP, 21 were from Islamabad

and 37 were from Quetta.

Training on Team Building and Group

Dynamics for RSPN / PDBP project

staff

A two days training event on Team

Building and Group Dynamics, sponsored

by RSPN, was successfully conducted at

O'Spring CWS Muree during the month of

May 2014.

Training on WASH

Korea International Corporation Agency

(KOICA) funded this two month's project

to IRM. It is targeted to train a total of 120

participants from May 2014 to June 2014.

CTP section of IRM has successfully

trained 122 (102%) participants in the

month of May 2014.

Youth Economic Empowerment

Project

As part of the project deliverables, MoU

with local enterprises and employers were

signed, IEC material was developed, 34

participants were provided Technical

Training, Financial Support and Toolkits

were provided to 6 and 10 trainees

respectively. Moreover, other activities of

YEEP Chakwal includes visit of Plan

Finland Team ( Suvi Halttula - Programme

Manager and Elina Nikulanen- Gender

Focal Person) to Chakwal, Visit to Youth

Forums of Village Mera and Chumbi

along with Plan Finland team, Meeting

with successful trained youth specially

females, Visit of Strengthened TVET

institutes VTI & Sanat Zar along with Plan

Finland Team & Meeting with Principal of

institutes and Meeting with Govt. officials

DCO, EDO, DO etc along with Plan

Finland team regarding integration of

YEEP.

Ø Motorcycle Repairing

FATA Secretariat

FATA Secretariat project is ongoing in

VTEC Azakhel. Out of a total of 60

participants 36 are getting training in

Tailoring, Mobile Repairing, Stabilizer

& Regulator Mechanic and Motorcycle

Mechanic trades

LACIP

LACIP project is ongoing in VTEC

Azakhel. Out of a total of 135 women,

50 are getting training in Tailoring.

VTEC Rawalpindi

During the month of May 2014 VTEC

Rawalpindi has successfully trained 308

participants in different vocational

trades whereas 293 are enrolled and will

complete their training in July 2014..

Implementation plan with IRM CEO and

Managers. Formal training will be initiated

from June 17, 2014.

Protection LEP – Badin

A total of 83 participants were trained in

different vocational trades during the

month of May 2014, rounding to a total of

1,485 (81% of total) participants trained to

date. The duration of project is from July

2013 to June 2014 with a total of 1,830

target beneficiaries of Badin.

T h a r d e e p R u r a l D e v e l o p m e n t

Programme (TRDP)

TRDP funded four month vocational

training project to IRM with total target of

163 participants, out of them 110

participants are getting training in

following three vocational trades;

Ø Mobile Repairing

Planning for the month of June 2014

includes attachment of trained youth

with employers for on job training,

women friendly workplace session with

employers, meetings with Employers

and TVETs, capacity building of selected

TVET, and financial support and

provision of toolkits to the trained youth.

Gudi Baji Project

The duration of Gudi Baji Project is from

May 2014 to December 2016. In this

project 5,700 women of Attock, Bhakkar,

Bhalwal, Jand, Jhelum, Khushab, Mandi

Bahauddin, Sohawa, Mianwali ,

Talagang and Sargodha will be trained

under Beautician training. This project is

in its initial stage. Activities for the

month of May 2014 includes the

finalization of Manual for Beautician

training, preparation of advertisement for

hiring of staff and instructors in three

districts and sharing of Gudi Baji
