Department Activities

1. Department Association Activities

• Department of Commerce (CA) organized a Guest Lecture on Logistics Management on 9th August 2018 for second year Commerce

Students. The Resource Person for the programme is Mr. Prasanth, CEO, EXIM Logistics, Coimbatore. A total of 120 Students

participated in the programme

• Department of Social work along with Rotary Green City, Coimbatore jointly organized a Breast Cancer Screening Camp on 01st March 2019 at Skasc campus.

• Department of Social work, National Institute of Social Defence, Delhi and Department of Social Work, Bharathiar University Jointly organized a Awareness Programme on Prevention of Substance Abuse on 14th March 2019 at SKASC Seminar hall I. The resource person for the programme is Dr.Thilipkumar, Head, Department of Languages, Hindustan college of Arts and Science and T.Sheela, Counsellor, Karunya Maruvalvu Maiyam, Coimbatore.

• Department of Software Systems organised an “Association Valedictory” on 07.03.19 for SS department students, and released the year

end Association Magazine and presented various special awards for Achievers to Staff and Students. A total of 450 Students participated

in the programme

• Department of IT organized an Android workshop on 08.03.2019 for second year students and 09.03.2019 for first year students. Conducted by third

year UG students.

• Department of IT organized an Artificial Intelligence workshop on 14.03.2019 for first year and second year UG students. Conducted by third year UG

students.

• Department of Electronics and communication has organized an Association Valedictory event on 01-03-19. Dr. Mohan Head, Department of Electronics,PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. acted as chief guest of the event

2. Outreach Programmes organized by the Department

• Department of Management Science visited Bethel Home, Coimbatore on 15th August 2018 and celebrated Independence Day with the children of the home. A total of 25 students and 2 faculty members took part in the programme and conducted various entertainment events for the children.

• Department of Social work students Gone for a week long Tribal camp at Mettukal, Kotagiri from 2nd March 2019 to 09th March 2019.

• Department of Social work I MSW students Ms.Ananthi & Ms.DharaniPriya along with faculty member Mr.M.N.Krishnadas Conducted games for the inmates of Udhavum Karangal for both Men and Women. The chief guest for the programme was Mr.Archunan, Ex-Panchayath President, Madukkarai,Coimbatore on 15th March 2019.

• Department of Social work I MSW student Ms.Pooja Conducted her CO program at Agastya science centre,ondipudhur, coimbatore.The topic is on importance of science and power of vote.The chief guest invited was Dr.Senthilkumar, Assistant professor, Department of Bio Science,Srikrishna arts and science college, coimbatore.There was an active participation among the students.The important of science was told to the children with various examples.Also the students were insisted to tell their parents to poll a vote for coming election.on 27th March 2019.

• Department of Social work I MSW students Ms.Mallika & Ms.Haritha Conducted their CO program on 28th march 2019 at Pillayarpuram, Coimbatore. It is a program jointly organized by District election office, HelpAge India and Department of social work, Sri Krishna arts and science college. Topic of the program is VOTING & ELDERS.The chief guest invited Mr.P.Krishnakumar, Veda Sports proprietor, Coimbatore. And also invited Dr.Babyshakila, principal of Sri Krishna arts and science college, Coimbatore. Nearly 40 elders are participated in the program. It was an interactive session. Speech delivered about "Importance of voting" The objective of programme reached very well to the elders.

• Department of Social work I MSW students Mr.Abishek S Raja & Mr.Vijay Paul Singh along with faculty member Mr.M.N.Krishnadas carried out an awareness programme on Traffic Awareness, invited Mr. Sundharapandian as Chief Guest to my CO program, He has 42 experience in heavy truck driving. He told some important things that should be followed while driving on the road and also asked everyone to wear helmet and seat belt.

• Department of Social work I MSW students Mr.Vignesh carried out a CO Programme program in Cheshire home Coimbatore for mentally ill person . Activities are balloon passing, sining competition, ball passing, to intimates. They enjoyed and show their involvements in all activities by this everyone get the opportunity to talk with everyone and show their talents and spend time with us. This brought a different change and they were relaxed. Finally the trainer gave the inmates a small gift for their participation. on 28th March 2019.

• Department of Social work I MSW students Ms.Deeparani and Ms.Kaviya conducted their community organisation program on 28.03.2019 in geethanjalinagar , kulathupalayam, thondamuthur and the cheif guest Was Mr.Maheshkumar , principle of universal academy of accupunture science .He took a senimar for the local people in thondamuthur regarding the healthy signs and bad signs of body and how to analysis th condition of our body etc.

• Department of Social work I MSW student Mr.Chitharhan conducted a CO Programme on AIDS AWARENESS FOR NEET STUDENTS Who are undergoing residential NEET Coaching & training at SKASC. The Chief guest was Mr.Somesh (Founder & Director of CNP+) on 29.03.2019.

• Department of Social work I MSW students Mr.Harish and Mr. Suryaprabhu conducted their community organization program on 29.3.2019.on sundarapuramnclpschool. The chief guest was Dr. Kumarasan Physical Director (SKASC)our Co program topic is health and hygiene in normal life. Carry out some health related exercise to the students and teach how will you live your life healthy in now a days.

• Department of Social work I MSW students Ms.Richa and Ms.Ramya had conducted a community organization program at Govt.primary school Aathupalam Coimbatore. The topic was on Child labour & Child trafficking. The Chief guest invited was Mrs.Bindhu.,Social worker,Rhythem social service society for women Coimbatore. There was an active participation & response among the school children's. The program might be definitely useful for the children's.
