MONTREAL 2018 - GENERAL INFORMATION
From a running event to a Celebration!FitSpirit is breaking new ground! On top of our 5 and 10 km runs, we are adding to our Celebrations the opportunity for our participants to venture through various sports and physical activities. FitSpirit is for everyone, not only for the avid runners!
ThemeThis year, we are looking forward to welcoming you on the beautiful beaches of the southern islands! Music, decor, activities, we are putting everything together to make sure that you will embark with us on a trip to a sunny destination for the day. Feel free to bring any flower necklaces or duck floats that are collecting dust in your drawer!
Arrival timeThe party starts at the same time for everyone, no matter the time of your starting wave. Take a look at the detailed schedule for the Celebration that you will be attending at the end of this letter in order to plan your day.
*Upon your school’s arrival on site, one FitSpirit Program Leader must get to the information booth.*
Weather ConditionsAt FitSpirit, we’re not scared of the rain! Make sure you check the weather forecast and dress accordingly in order to be comfortable all day. Dressing in layers will allow you to adjust to possible changes in the temperature and bringing a change of clothes might save the day in case of a sudden rain shower!
EnvironmentFitSpirit is doing its part for the environment by trying to reduce waste and litter on the Celebration’s sites and we know that we can count on you to do the same. Bring your reusable water bottle to take full advantage of our water refill stations. We are also using corn cups in our aid stations - many actions aiming at reducing our events’ ecological footprint. Thank you for using the garbage containers on site.
SecurityLace up your sneakers and dress appropriately for weather conditions. A couple of water stations will be on place along the running course but bring your own water bottle if your prefer or if a hot day is in the forecast. Just like when you are driving on the highway, keep your right and leave a corridor to your left for those who would like to go faster. Lastly, first aid teams will be present on the course as well as at the finish line and ready to respond when necessary.

There isn’t any possibility to buy food on most of our sites. Take a look at FitSpirit.club to find healthy recipes to try when preparing for the event!
