Royal Palace The Royal Palace is one of the
most important monuments in Madrid. You can find it in Plaza de Oriente, close to the city center.
It’s considered as a great work of art because of the way it was built and the level of detail luxury inside its marble walls. Guided tours available!
Crystal Palace The Crystal Palace was built in 1887 in the Retiro Park as a greenhouse
for an exhibition about plants from Philippines during the world fair
It was modeled on The Crystal Palace from London, built in 1851.
Today, you can visit it for free in Retiro Park

Plaza del 2 de Mayo
This square was built in 1869, close to the city center, as a memorial of the upraising against Napoleón and the French army when they tried to conquer Spain.
Today, it’s a popular meeting spot, conveniently located very close to the Tribunal metro station!
Plaza de Cibeles
“La Cibeles” fountain was built in 1782 in what is now known as Plaza de Cibeles. The fountain represents the goddess Cibeles, a symbol of fertility and agriculture.
This is also where Real Madrid celebrates their biggest victories!
This must see spot is located right where Paseo del Prado and Paseo de Recoletos meet.
Puerta de Alcalá was built in 1778 as an entrance to Madrid from France, Aragón or Cataluña.
Long ago, it was situated in the outside of the city but the growth of Madrid now finds this beautiful monument in what is now the city center!
