Since 1922 up until today, memorable pages of motor racing and motorcyclinghistory have been written on the Monza Circuit.

The best drivers, the most famous cars, the most important events havecreated a special legend which has existed for almost 100 years.

But Monza is not only this...

OUR HISTORY IN BRIEF

Monza Circuit was built in 1922, in only 110 days, both for competitions and for motor(auto & motor cycle) testing (Brooklands was built in 1907 and Indianapolis in 1909).Since then, the Italian Grand Prix has always taken place on the Monza track (exceptduring the war years and a few other occasions).

THE CIRCUIT AND PARK: SPORT AND ENVIROMENT

The location of the Circuit in Monza Park, is unique in the world. Thisnatural setting is both attractive and delightful.

ABOUT US

The Circuit is placed within Monza Park which belongs to the cities of Monza and Milan. It was built and managed by SIAS S.p.A. (the Company of the Automobile Club of Italyfor the promotion of motor racing and Sport).

Since 1998, Monza Circuit has an ISO 14001 certification for environmental managementsystem.

SIAS was founded by several companies, banks, industries and sportsmen. The shareholderis the Automobile Club of Milan.

THE FACILITIES

TRACKS & PADDOCK

5.793 km track (for Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix)

2.405 km “Junior track”

4.250 km high-speed track

Straight (800m) with self-draining asphalt and irrigation system for tests and trials underdifferent conditions of wet/dry asphalt and different degrees of grip.

60 pits (80 sq m x h. 2.70), modular spaces up to 320 sq m, fitted with lights, electricand data transmission, TV monitors, water & toilet facilities.

Paddock area for a total of 40,000 sq m in the area behind the pits, plus a secondpaddock area of 13,700 sq m (inside the parabolic bend) completely asphalted andsupplied with water, electric supply and toilet facilities.

PIT BUILDING

Briefing Room (145 sq m) with 120 seats,audio-video system and completely darkened.

Panoramic room (58 sq m), a circular structurewhich looks onto the finishing line.

Media Centre, 1.370 sq m with offices ofdifferent sizes, catering area and the “TazioNuvolari” Press Room, set-up with high-leveltechnology, and with 524 work stations,equipped with 160 web-connected TVmonitors. The press room is the ideal locationfor training activity and mult imediaentertainment.

Race Control Room (590 sq m), with 21 moni-tors connected to 21 cameras around the raceroute.

Secretariat area for officials present on thecircuit at every event.

BUSINESS CENTRE

• PIT BUILDINGTwo large rooms (600 and 490 sq mrespectively) for exhibitions, conferencesand/or restaurant. 4,500 sq m terrace,covering the whole length of the pit building.The area can be divided in modular unitsaccording to requirements, for hospitality,exhibitions or restaurant purposes.

• HOSPITALITY BUILDINGThree floors and a covered terrace, facingdirectly onto the track, on the starting line,with no architectural barriers, fitted with lifts,hoists for moving cars, service rooms andfood centre. Could be modulated accordingto requirements and used for meetings andconferences. All the rooms are provided withhigh-level technology.

Ground floor meeting room (700 sq m) withpanoramic windows; it can be used forconferences, exhibitions and restaurant. Firstand second floors (air-conditioned,soundproofed and cables ) have an area of1,100 sq m each, can be divided into 12single rooms with a minimum surface of 72sq m and reserved small stand. It can beused for exhibitions, conferences orrestaurant.

Covered terrace 1,700 sq m, entertainingand catering areas.

• HOSPITALITY PITSnine hospitality units for companies, situatedon the central straight, each one having asmall private garden and reserved stand.

• THE OLD PITSthe 30 old Monza pits, in use up until the1970s, have been rebuilt as offices for rent;At present, some of them host a safe- drivingschool.

• EXHIBITION PAVILION(800 sq m) is lozenge shaped with a domedroof, air-conditioned, with a large fencedgarden; could be divided into two indepen-dent sectors.

• VIP GRANDSTANDtwo rooms for 80/100 people and arestaurant with large windows and 450 seats,suitable for lunches and suppers.

OUTDOOR FACILITIES

Outdoor Olympic-sized swimming pool,surrounded by greenery, open throughout thesummer months, provided with:

with 34,000 sq m of shaded lawns, for tents,campers and caravans, fully lit in the communalareas.
