Thrillers • Thrillers usually have dark and dramatic colours’, such as black ,dark blue’s and red’s
that represent blood. This allows the viewer to feel uncomfortable and uneasy due to the dramatic colours’ that are associated which a demonic entity. Throughout the years of thrillers’ directors’ and film writers’ have used these dark colours to represent the entity. Which allows the thriller to capture the undivided attention of their audience. This also makes them question which may occur next.
• Thrillers usually have blood, knives and guns. Knives and guns are used to hurt people or to make them feel discomfort, which usually follows by blood. Thrillers are known for having very glory effects, this gives the viewer an insight to how the person that is being hurt feels. Which is usually uncomfortable for the viewer to watch. However, most people get a thrills out of watching thrillers. This is why they are popular genre of film.
• The thrillers also have a high key lighting on the characters face in order to highlight the characters emotions. On the other hand, they usually have low key lighting in the background. This is used to make the viewer suspicious of what can occur next in the film.

• Romantic comedies usually have vibrant colours’ such as light blues, white and soft browns. This allows the viewer to feel calm and peaceful. However, in contrast thrillers allow the uncomfortable due to the disorientation of colours. Rom com’s are usually described as light hearted and appeal to a wide range of people, because of their non harmful nature. Whereas, thrillers are targeted at people who like suspense and violence because of the props that are used in the film such as guns and knives.
