MOODBOARD

Page 2: Moodboard

These colours are bright so are eye catching to a reader. The yellow and orange also portrays summer and warmth with will put the reader in a good mood.

These colours are dark and uninteresting so will not catch the eye of the reader. The black and other dark shades of colours give off a negative vibe which may cause the reader depressive feelings which will make them not want to read the magazine

Colours such as red, pink and bright green really jump out the page at the reader because they are vibrant and eye catching. This puts them in a good mood even though the colour read could make them think its something to do with danger or its important

Ff Rr Tt = Calibri (Body) ///// This font is normal and not very eye catching compared to others. It is neat however and easy to read so people don’t have to strain their eyes to read it if they are in a dim light or tired.

Ff Rr Tt = Aharoni //// This font is bold and very eye catching to someone

flicking through a magazine. It is also in block style which makes it easy to

read.

Ff Rr Tt = Curlz MT //// This font is hard to read and would strain the readers eyes if they tried to read large chunks of it. This is a reason why it is not used much and wont be used in my magazine

Mode of Address

Queens English: I am going to use this quite a lot because then it is general and not aimed at a certain age group like if i used slang it would be aimed at youths.

Slang: I wont use slag that much because i think it aims the magazine at youths to much. I don’t want my magazine aimed just at the youth population i want it aimed at people of all ages so it will sell more copies.

Use of exclamation marks: I will be using a lot of exclamation marks because it makes sentences more eye catching and less formal. I think if you use lots of exclamation marks after a sentence it adds more of an effect that you are reading a magazine rather than something more formal like a newspaper

Text Bubbles

I am going to use these bubbles the most because i believe it adds a more modern theme to the magazine. Also it looks neat and presentable compared

to others.

I wont be using this one very much because I believe it gives an old feeling to the magazine and isn’t very attractive compared to the one above.

I wont be using this one very much because it takes up to much space compared to the others and i wont be able to fit as many words in it compared to the rectangle ones.

Drafts for Masthead

I like this one because its bold and stands out. Also it gives a futuristic them to it and modern so will be eye catching which is something i want.

I like this one the best because it just has a good vibe about it. Its bold, smooth around the edges which is attractive and also it stands out so it is one i am definitely thinking of having in my magazine.

I like this one the least because it is thin. This means its not eye catching to potential buyers who are browsing. Also the sharp edges to the words aren’t the style I'm looking for so i wouldn’t choose it/
