DESCRIPTION
TRANSCRIPT
Launched July 16, 1969 from the Kennedy Space Center
Arrived on the moon at July 20, 1969The astronauts were Neil Armstrong,
Michael Collins, and Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin Jr.
When the astronauts put up the flag it waved, there is no wind on the moon
No stars are visible in the pictures taken of the astronauts on the surface of the moon
No blast crater is visible in the pictures taken of the lunar landing module
The landing module weighs 17 tons and yet sits on top of the lunar dust making no impression. Next to it astronaut’s footprints can be seen in the dust.
The footprints in the lunar dust, with no moisture or atmosphere or strong gravity, are oddly well preserved, like they were made in wet sand
When the landing module takes off from the Moon there is no visible flame from the rocket
The rocks brought back from the Moon are identical to rocks collected in Antarctica
John F. Kennedy had said that USA would be the first to land on the moon, and their time was running out to “beat” Russia
Russia was already far ahead in the space raceThey had already launched the first person in
spaceThe first animal in spaceThe first 3-person mission in spaceThe first space station in orbit
