• Fold your handout in half, and then in half again.

• Place it in your shoe until it is needed

• Glue the table into your science notebook.

• Entitle the table: moon phases

• For each student:• One oreo cookie• One popsicle stick• Pencil• Data table

Create the phase using your oreos

1. Don’t break the cookie2. Use the frosting & the popsicle stick to

create the phase (reflected light).3. Draw each phase in order, before “reusing”

the frosting for the subsequent phase.4. Once your moon table has been created,

“get rid of the evidence.”
