Callao Moose Family Center May 2020
Governor’s Corner Greetings to all my Brothers & Sister's. From the officers & members of Callao Moose # 917, Our deepest of feelings and sympathy to all who have suffered a loss or been ill from the Covid # 19 . This has truly been a very tiring time for all lodges, as well as its membership. I thank God, every day, for such devoted members which have struggled during this time to improve our building & the area. These are the strengths of all lodges. Many members are helping others in so many ways. The giving of paper products & food as well as transportation. Lodges throughout this great land have done so very much but will never be heard of. To all of you, thank you. Maybe to some it doesn't seem like much, but it does mean an awful lot to me. The providing of their time to prepare, cook & clean up when doing the carry out specials. Various painting, shelf & cabinet assembly as well as other various things which improve our building & area. These are the things which give me such a humble, yet proud feeling to be your Governor. When will this shut down end, equals the sum of all unknowns… I’m thinking we'll be in line for an old fashion grand opening [ MAYBE ] called the members picnic . Picnic heck P A R T Y ! ! ! What you think. God bless to all my brothers & sisters all over the world during these trying times. Peace & wellbeing to all. Craig Hayden (804) 480*9923 TEXT ONLY PLEASE OR (804) 580*6063

Greetings to all members and co-workers, I hope everyone is happy and healthy. I have been watching the TV and what our Governor has been saying about opening businesses back up. He stated that he will start to open some businesses on May 8th and will slowly continue to open others. Not sure which ones will be open first yet. So hopefully the Moose Lodges will be opening sometime in May if not May 8th. I am going to hold our WOTM meetings starting on Tuesday, May 5th. If you feel that you are not able to join us or wish not to at this time we understand. May is Membership/Retention month and the meeting will be at 7:00pm. The Officer's meeting will be at 6:30. The Lodge will be open for us to have our meetings regardless if it is closed to other members right now. The LOOM is having their meetings as well. We don't have any plan events at this time but hopefully we will have some events this summer. God bless all of you and be safe. Until next month……..Thank you so much, Cindy Headley Senior Regent Callao WOTM (804) 313-0968 (Text Preferred)

The Tommy Moose® program aids in helping children overcome fears and anxiety during times of stress. Donated to Law Enforcement, Fire, and other Emergency workers, Tommy Moose plush dolls are presented to children in various traumatic situations. In addition to this service, the Tommy Moose character has grown to personify happiness, safety, and security through personal appearances, books, and on children's goods.
Tommy originated as a Moose community service project in Connecticut and soon spread throughout the US and Canada.
Since 2002, over 100,000 Tommy Moose plush dolls have been donated to shelters, hospitals, and emergency workers, who in turn deliver them to children in need of some comfort when facing some of life’s biggest challenges.
