I am a 32 year old Teacher of English who lives in Talca, Chile and works at a local university. I
teach English to graduate students from different schools like law, business management,
informatics, etc.
I got married recently and I do not have any children yet.
When I first heard about the IGE program I thought it was completely interesting as it would
allow me to see how my peers (Teachers of English) work teaching English as a foreign
language or as a second language. Also because it would give me the opportunity to be in
touch with the Canadian culture which is definitely a role model. Therefore this implies not only
a cultural approach, but also a professional development worth trying.
I would love to visit different Canadian universities so as to become familiar with different
teaching techniques, methodology, material used and I will try without a doubt to get the best
out of this experience in order to apply what I learned when I work with my students.
