4. What is the purpose of financial services? What are they used for? Who uses them? Are there any kinds of financial services that you think you could benefit from? Explain.

GROUP DISCUSSION1. Work in small groups. Create a project that you would like to do

that you need financing for: i.e. spending a holiday together on a Greek island; making a concert at school with your favourite music group; creating a student store and selling things; creating a film project; renting a studio space, making a CD and selling it, etc.

2. Make a budget. What items will it include? How will you determine the costs? Suggest possible ways of financing your idea (e.g. crowd sourcing from the Internet; taking up a collection; DJ nights; etc. How could you earn the money that you would need?

3. Compare your budgets and ideas with the other groups. Which ones are the most interesting ideas? Which ones are the most feasible? Which one would your class like to try together?
